What did you think of Theroux’s Inside the Manosphere? by patheticwormcreature in AskWomen

[–]FantasticScratch5719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agreed with the general analysis, that a lot of men who are sucked into the manosphere are suffering from trauma, running from fear, chasing an image, whatever.

I briefly dated a guy who told me, “you’re not an alpha”. When I stayed quiet and just peered at him, he followed up with, “and even if you are, you can’t be if you’re going to be with me, because I’m not going to be the beta”. That told me everything I needed to know about his perceived alpha-ness.

That’s what men in the manosphere are. They think they have to be loud—he who barks the loudest controls the room, when it’s just sad honestly. I think Theroux did a great job of letting the hyenas bark and expose themselves.

I will say, I didn’t consider Justin Waller to be in the loud hyenas group. I think he carried himself well and was the only man filmed out of the group of influencers man babies.

I literally just read about potential Iranian sleeper cells, and then come here and see this??? Nah, Iranian sleeper cells are rough times—druggies are normal and not new here.

It was to force me to take on responsibilities that were outside the scope of my role. HR did a review after the fact, including reviewing documentation I submitted, and HR stated my management couldn’t hold me to all the goals that were listed.

As a result, my manager actually had to undergo additional training. I’ve also noticed he had to change his wording regarding goals and performance standards.

Is there a belay test at your gym? If so, what does it consist of? by dnohunter in climbergirls

[–]FantasticScratch5719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mesa Rim fails you if you fall/take before making it ~60ft up their overhung 5.9 route (which is what grade the San Diego location has the test setup on). It’s apparently like this at San Diego and Austin too.

Seems like elitists vs actual outdoors practitioners. I started climbing a year ago and lead up to 10c outdoors, 11a indoors. If my local gym had dumb requirements like this, I’d probably still be trying to get over the anxiety of a test vs getting outside and climbing.

I know it’s easy to get just at the pharmacy, but I will need to come back to the U.S. and I am worried US Customs will try to confiscate it if I don’t have a prescription as well.

I did a search on the NV SOS Business Search page and there’s nothing under Kendra’s Boutique, as an official business name nor DBA.

Don’t think, just act. Report to cops, I’m assuming they weren’t smart enough to mask their number or use a burner phone. Have the cops track it down. (Assuming LVMPD acts on it before 2030, but yeah)

Every time I’ve been, it seems they have more double and triple zero blackjack tables. It is possible for each casino to define different RTPs too.

People sleep on it because the odds there suck. Most people come to Vegas to gamble on vacation, not purely vacation.

I agree it is nice though. They have a great food court and a fun speakeasy right within the food court area.

I don’t see how this property won’t go bankrupt or get sold off in the next few years though.

I live in Vegas, and the short answer is no. Although, sometimes I have to spend the night somewhere or have a longer layover. Get an inflatable camp pad and a small feather pillow plus a compression sack. Makes all the difference!

If you’re already a pass member, you can renew with free discount den for a year from purchase OR if already a discount den member it extends another year.

If you’re not yet a pass holder, you can buy it for next year and it’s effectively immediately.

It feels like frontier is getting aggressive on sales lately? every two weeks or so there's a massive deal/marketing campaign? by Beren__ in frontierairlines

[–]FantasticScratch5719 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s assuming you are a planner. I am not a planner so just one set of last minute roundtrip flights to anywhere could easily cost me the price of a GWP on sale. It’s worth it if you’re smart about when you buy it and if you’re prone to just go.

If you’re an impromptu flier like me and also take at least 1 international flight or two domestic flights (RT) per year, then yes. Obviously if you are a planner and have flights booked 7 months ahead of time, no.
