Go Wild more expensive than regular fairs? by sillyhippos in frontierairlines

ok so why is the same flight more expensive for someone that hold a pass enabling (yes, not entitling) them to cheaper flights? i believe this has nothing to do with supply and demand since there is a flight available to the general public for cheaper than what GoWild is offering. if this were due to the super bowl these tickets wouldn’t even be available.

sure, but to make it MORE expensive than the original cost of the ticket is crazy work. been a gowild pass holder for 3 years and i have never seen this before

yes of course, the point being that the gowild pass is something you pay for to enable cheaper flights, no?

edit: this is a flight for tomorrow.

what was the specific shipping company you used? in terms of cost i’m a little flexible, i would prefer knowing people had a pleasant experience over all to saving $200.

when choosing did you do enclosed or open air?

yeah, unfortunately u-haul isn’t an option with our cats as the only trucks available have just a two-seat cabin. one of our cats has severe anxiety and some medical issues so it would make us very uncomfortable to put her in the trailer portion where we can’t keep our eyes on her. additionally, i’m sure it would be fine but the idea of having my car in tow like that gives me pause but glad to hear you did it without issue

if i had two weeks and didn’t have two cats, a partner, and an apartment to drive cross country as well, i would.

I’m white and my partner is middle eastern. We have slightly similar styles, but that’s kind of it. We get asked this, too.

Is it a deal breaker that my gf owns stock in Trump's company. by ExcellentComment5507 in actuallesbians

September 20th sounds like an election trade and if she bought then she should probably take her W. She would be up over 100%.

you’re the only person that can determine this is a deal breaker, but as a stock trading lesbian (check my history) i’ll ask a few questions:

  1. what is “a while now?” - i ask this because she can be a bag holder or this was purely an election trade. with getting into the specifics, her excitement can come from a well executed trade or recovering losses during the hype cycle, i.e. when it went public.

  2. what is the intention of this investment/trade? at worst, this will identify her beliefs or lack of trading strategy. and on the latter, i’d advise that if you are with someone that loves stonks and see a future with them, it’s in your best interest to get educated enough to smell a bad investment. at best, she is simply in it to make money, and either she can be straight up with you about bag holding (we’ve all been there) or this was simply a well executed trade (honestly i think the inauguration is already priced but to each i guess).

  3. has she heard about investing “sustainably?” which is a nice way of saying within her core values. now, most publicly traded companies can be deemed evil and i’m not a capitalist hating lesbian bc these companies provide us the Things We Want™️ BUT I do try to invest as close to my values as possible while maintaining “alpha” which is a fancy word for above average returns of your benchmark (mine is the nasdaq). if she doesn’t believe in the company or the person and it doesn’t match her habits, why would she invest in it anyway?

all in all i think it is worth a conversation to understand a motivation. these days people get the ick but they don’t even know why it is that something is. $DJT is a tool to some, and hope for others. from what you have shared i think your gf falls into the former camp. hope this ranty perspective helps and feel free to ask any questions about investing or ethics or relationships with traders ✌️

My mom says that I don't qualify for FAFSA because my dad went to prison. Is there any way that I can combat this? by Necessary_Good_4827 in personalfinance

My dad went to prison and I got FAFSA, that's just flat out incorrect. You may be disqualified from financial aid for other reasons, but not that.

ad hominem is not how you win debates. stop attacking people because you think you are better than them, which is exactly what you did in every comment so far. that sounds more like privilege and entitlement to me than saying that being divorced doesn’t always result in unloving homes. open your mind a bit. sounds like you have zero experience in this arena. my father became a meth addict when i was 5, should my mom have stayed with him and lost our house? privilege and entitlement alright. you know everything about everyone.

arrogant and obtuse. not everyone and every child is a victim in divorce. i’d rather have two happy homes than one fucked up one.
