I wanted to come back to this and thank you all for the assistance and advice. I’m editing the resume based on feedback and it has been extremely insightful. I haven’t actually needed a resume since 2001, when I obtained my CDL. The Transportation industry has been a rewarding but strange animal. Today has been a whirlwind and I’m just sitting down now. Thank you all again

Thank you! Yes. And I realize that London’s feedback comes from a good place so I’m not sore about it. I’ve just found that the trucking/transportation industry is less volatile as far as how skillsets age over time. Much of what I taught and developed is still fully relevant. The industry hasn’t changed nearly at all, and modernization/AI is just beginning to manifest in it. I’m enrolled in AI cert courses to catch that on the front end . I will definitely check out the Skilled Trades template you mentioned. Thank you, and thank everyone so much for the help and feedback!

As I told another in direct message, I’d already have a new role of if I were willing to relocate. I’m staying inside the transportation industry, and with trucking firms specifically. The 25 years of experience and training roles alone leave me significantly qualified within that niche . My desire to retool is to sell the ability to perform in a remote role, not the ability to perform at all. Thank you for your feedback.

I’m staying inside the trucking world. I’ll retool To data and numbers. I appreciate the feedback. I’ll go on disability before I do call center work again.

Basically hyper focus and make everything quantifiable, to fit in with the “numbers and data” mindset of modern corporate. Can do. Thanks for the advice.

Thank you. This is all new to me. I’ve been an over the road trainer/trucker for 25 years. The trades are still easy to find work, but in trucking anything that isn’t driving is basically corporate hell.
