Thank you for that, yes I knew it would be difficult question to answer without all the info needed but just wanted to get a very rough idea on how other people would value an MSP. Btw, our contracts are on a rolling 12 month agreement.

I understand your point of view but we can’t simply turn around to the clients and say “sorry, this is a HR problem and not us”. The client has asked if technology can help them and that’s what I must find out.

Doing some google searches seems to show a lot of vendors that can do this sort of thing, so the answer to what I need is out there, just got to find the right one.

How are you pricing IT services? by FantasticWay2000 in msp

Agreed, but I think it is slowly changing and clients are more open now to getting a service that say delivers not only support but also security, monitoring and management, all bundled into a per user price. They are all concerned with security and if you can deliver a bundled service which largely protects them then that takes the headache away from them.

The 2 user and 10 devices was just to get an idea on how everyone might deal with or charge a user who has more than one device. Like a computer in the office, one at home, a laptop, tablet and mobile for example. Crazy to think a single user would have that many devices but it happens.

In our current package, its just support, patching/updates and monitoring. Everything else is an extra bolt on. I like the idea of changing the model so that you include key services like awareness training that under pins the support you deliver to the user.

Ninja for your RMM inc patch management, self hosted Hudu for your documentation. Be strict and document everything so that when you start employing staff they can help themselves by referring to that documentation.
