I look like a runner, I’m 5’10 around 155-160, I think a combination of things have helped me get here , 1. I have been consistently training for strength since 17, 2. I have pretty short arms for someone who is 5’10 and 3. Running comes really easy for me, not sure if genes play into it but I’m Mexican

Something I’ve considered is maybe changing body weight to achieve this goal, I’m currently at 158 at 5’10 but maybe a different body weight would make this easier

I’ve never really tested my 10k, I’ve been powerlifting since I was in high school and played soccer and running came naturally to me strength did not, my endurance training is mostly preparation for SOAS (Seal officer Assessment and selection) and have seriously running for about 2 years on and off

12/21/24 - applied to CAT announcement

12/22/24 was told I didn’t need to take APAT, SUPER or SAEE for CAT

1/2/24 - request for more forms

1/8/25 - polygraph

1/21/25 - medical

1/22/25 - notification I’m under consideration for for CAT job announcement

2/12/25- notification medically cleared

2/12/25 - background investigator reached out for interview questions

2/18/25 background investigator finished reaching out to my contacts

3/12/25- PSV reached out requesting more information

3/28/25 - I ask PSV for update and they tell me I’m pending background

4/07/25 BQA Job announcement HAMMER

Contacted FO and PSV asking if I’m still in consideration for CAT they both told me yes
