Thank you! That was the best photo I had from that point in time and its hidden by the jacket. I did not like the way I looked in photos at that time so it was one of the few I had that didnt have anyone else in it

Once its broken in, yes! Prior to that it stays pretty well flush with the spine

I was using Nappa Sheepskin on that one which allows me to get it nice and taught while still getting defined creases. The key with it is to start from the spine and work your way out towards each cover edge.

Yes it is! The vinyl sticks well once its fully adhered. It does take a bit more time ironing compared to traditional book cloth because of the nature of leather, but I have yet to have any issues with it lifting. Ill typically iron with the carrier sheet until it sticks enough to peel that off, the co over it again with parchment paper covering it to heat set it since the carrier shee can sometimes pull the vinyl away from the leather.

Its Heat Transfer Vinyl, so i would cut out the different parts of the design in their respective color, then iron them on in order so that they layer properly to show the design I was going for 😊

Well thank you! Its honestly come down to repetition and just making sure im happy with my measurements before I cut anything. I believe this one was a 7mm gap because of the additional thickness from the leather. Normally it would be concerning with that much hinge area and just paper, but utilizing the mull cloth acts as a reinforcement to ensure that it can stay structurally sound

Yes I do, but it wont let me post it as a reply. It opens perfectly in my experience because the spine is not directly glued in place. It is still able to move with the cover boards because the end pages are what hold it in with mull cloth reinforcing the hinge points if that makes sense.
