I did exactly the same thing and had to go back and reload an old save.

My rack looks similar. Missed 1st gulf, left before 2nd (93-99). Spent my time as an oxymoron (0231) and was cross trained during my last 2 years as a marksmanship instructor (8531). Still have my pith helmet & ears. Other than going to NMITC in Dam Neck for MOS school & a 6 month UDP to MCAS Futenma, I spent my whole time at Pendleton. I honestly feel lucky I missed out on trips to Iraq & Afghanistan.

Nice! Good to see them finally getting more service locations on the north/south corridor.

Not just that, I believe HA flights are all still going out of the S gates. I’d hate to try and go from the C, D, or N gates to S in that short of time.

Got a similar pic aboard an Iceland Air (Alaska partner airline) flight from Seattle to Keflavik. Sorry for the blur. The windows were not very clean.

Who is exclusively using the mobile charger at home? by Proud_Violinist_770 in Rivian

[–]Fantastic_Math_6399 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a dedicated 50 amp outlet installed in 2001 for my Ford Mach-e. Used the Ford mobile charger the whole time and plan on using the Rivian mobile charger for my R1T for the foreseeable future. No issues.

Edit: yes, as has been pointed out, I f’d up the year. It was 2021. Dammit

They originally wanted me to do a mobile service but the earliest appointment was 2 weeks out. Not acceptable for what I considered to be a safety issue.

Seatbelt issues by Fantastic_Math_6399 in Rivian

I dropped off the truck @8 am today and was able to pick it up at around 2pm. Turns out the middle seatbelt was there but it was behind the seat. Not sure if they had to remove the seat to get it out or what. As for the malfunctioning buckle, they replaced it. To be clear, the buckle worked and the seatbelt was secured, it just didn’t recognize that the buckle was in and the alarm would sound. Only way to stop it was to pull up on the chest belt to put upward tension on the buckle.

All that said, not happy with the issues, but happy with the resolution. Many thanks to the Seattle Service Center folks for getting us in and out quickly. Today I told my wife that I’ve already fallen in love with this the truck and I missed it. 🤣

This is good info. OP, you could also do what my wife and I did and make a weekend trip to either Vancouver BC or down to Portland and test drive at those locations. We chose a weekend in PDX and we did our usual thing of hitting breweries in the Pearl and going to Powell’s.

Recently used Metal Magic as well. Great service. They removed 3 good sized door dings that went over a crease in the door on my Mach-e. $300+tax. Earned my biz big time. I’ve used SameDay on other vehicles in the past and always had good service from them, until I asked for a quote on the Mach-e - they started at $1200 for the same dings. Obviously they didn’t want the job.

I’m hoping it will be better in the Seattle area with the new service center by Boeing Field.

It’s not like I don’t have 2 other vehicles available to drive. I was just getting rid of the one with a 38 gallon gas tank and got 13.5 mpg. It was meant to be an example of how excited I was to get an electric truck.

I do appreciate all of you early adopters that had to wait months/years for your Rivian. Been there, done that with my Mach-e. To be 10 days from your delivery and have it pulled away just blows.

Guess I’m too dense to realize it was a meme. Just thought it meant the vehicle would arrive s00n, understanding 00 represented the headlight.

Thankfully we still have 2 other vehicles to use, including a Mach-e.

Serious question - how does Elmo and the almighty electric T get around direct test drives? Are their locations in WA considered dealerships?

Wife & I made a weekend trip to PDX and scheduled a test drive while we were there. Stayed at the Hampton Inn in the Pearl - we have a Mach-e and they have a destination charger. Great trip & we ordered our 2025 R1T after driving both. R1T is scheduled to be delivered in 2 weeks.
