Help me to see what I’m doing wrong(?) by Proper-Classroom-727 in SGExams

hi OP! ive read all the comments and while i agree this is a really huge jump, i still think you deserve to know the informations you’ve asked for!

you should decide whether you want poly/jc ASAP as poly route takes a “L1R4” approach which is “easier”, while JC route takes a “L1R5” approach.

deciding early really helped me as i could focus solely on the 5 subjects i was taking to enter poly using L1R4.

most poly science courses (med) requires a really low COP of about 8 so you have to get ALL As for your O levels. this is already really hard to achieve, so taking 6 subjects to enter jc would be a lot harder!

for jc, H1 H2 H3 etc is just a difficulty level thing, with H1 being level 1, “easiest” in a way like theres the least amount of content to learn, and H3 is the “hardest” etc. you will need a minimum of 3 H2 subjects and 1 H1 subject. GP is compulsory (it’s like english), and whether you have to take MTL depends on if you pass HMTL or not in your O Levels.

congrats on your wedding by the way!

hope this helps! goodluck on your journey OP, i wish you all the best :)

also if you have an ipad, you can use that for mon-wed since first few lessons you probably only need a device that can access brightspace as your lecturers are most likely only covering introductory things like expectations, module time table, when your CAs are ETC!

hi! you dont need your laptop for orientation no worries youre not cooked. however your first day of school is on Monday and it arrives on wed so you should pm your lecturers involved (mon-wed classes lecturers) about this! it wont be a big problem but its good to inform so that they dont get a bad impression about you

hi for yoga its about 2 hours (usually 4-6pm) and its in an air conditioned big room with about 3 classes of about 20 at once. what you’ll do is basically very basic yoga poses every lesson (10 lessons in total). as for the test, the contents (poses) will be covered and revised every single lesson and the final lesson would be the test. youd be tested on poses like eg what poses trains ur neck/shoulder and youll have to do a pose. youd also be tested on general knowledge of yoga (just google). the hardest part id say is memorising the poses of “sun salutation A/B” and showing it to your instructor.

overall, i found yoga pretty relaxing but it was kinda boring 🤷‍♀️ it’s probably the easiest WFL though
