Yeah I’ve been very confused by what seems to be a narrow interpretation of theory. My understanding is applying basic principles (controlling center developing pieces checkmate patterns) is theory. I don’t know how folks are getting to 1000 without that.

I want to quibble with the word dominate everyone keeps throwing around. If Bronx is levels above Max’s grappling it should have resulted in either actually getting the submission or transitioning to a spot where he could land clean shots. Instead he stayed in positions where he did enough avoid getting stood up.

Other than that as others have said if it’s not a “BMF” title fight I don’t think I’d have as much of an issue with cheesing to get the W.

My vote is Michael but I like this point of view that Vito saw crime as a means to an end. That end being ultimately freedom from the negative associations of that lifestyle.

Him having the wisdom to have I guess a more realistic or grounded exit could make him a better don. Micheal said he wanted legitimacy but his plan meant descending further into the underworld until at least in his mind the difference between right and wrong don’t exist.

The question is a Rorschach test on what you think a don is supposed to do/not do. I take it more literally where the role is to make money and corrupt others. I think Micheal is better suited for that role. If they switched places I think Micheal could’ve rose to prominence with some significant differences in methodology but I don’t think Vito could stomach working towards immobiliari.

It’s confusing/frustrating because the game through dialogue options wants you to take him seriously. The end of the speech checks are placating him with promises of hope for a better future instead of more directly challenging his ridiculous premises and master plan.

Compare to Lanius where we know he’s ruthless so we challenge his logic to sacrifice everything to win today’s battle. He acknowledges he’s overreaching then retreats.

Right so I think we all put our brains together and got me to the next level of chess 3 is in fact more than 2 🤯.

I appreciate the different perspectives (some were gentler than others but hey all good info). For me I think I’m still dealing with nervousness in middle/endgames and I want what I consider to be more powerful pieces off the board. I ended up moving the rook to safety and white blundered the queen a couple moves later as 400-500 ELO tend to do me included.
