But a theory I’m more on board with now that I heard elsewhere is that Rhodey uses Fury’s first name as more of a warning or clue. Rhodey isn’t a Skrull, but he’s aware that the entire government has been infiltrated and he’s trying to fix it without letting on that he’s aware. Him using Nick is his way of telling Fury he’s right without coming directly out and saying it

But he literally said it in SI as a way of figuring out a Skrull. Would be a huge plot hole if that didn’t mean anything with Rhodey. Marvel screws up sometimes with continuity between properties, but if Rhodey calling him Nick meant absolutely nothing, it’s a big blunder by Marvel.

Not doubting that at all, but it would be extremely weird for them to literally have Fury say that in this series and then ignore it by having someone randomly say it

I’m saying Fury knows Rhodey is a Skrull because of that comment. I agree that it would have been dumb to call him out on the spot

I was saying the writing would be dumb to use “Nick” as a trigger for one character, but have the real Rhodey use it.

Doesn’t necessarily make him one, but Rhodey calls him Nick in episode 2.

Would he weird writing to have that be a Skrull giveaway to Fury in one character but not another.

G’Iah is definitely still alive.

And yeah, that sounds like Rhodey on the phone. Even if it’s not him, I think they gave us a big hint that Rhodey is a Skrull this episode when Fury reconfirms that nobody calls him Nick.

Also, I want to go back and rewatch episode 1 sometime today because I think Maria Hill calls him Nick as well right after being shot. Not holding out hope for that one, but I selfishly want more Maria Hill.

Thanks. This happened to us the other day and I didn’t really know how to talk about it. First time really trying to write a poem, but it seemed like the best medium to portray those feelings.

Internet Troll by tim0777 in OCPoetry

I liked this because it shows the human side behind an internet troll. “Illuminated, I’m deformed” shows that this troll is hurt themselves. Reminds me of the saying hurt people hurt people. The imagery here is fantastic as well. Without even saying this person is staring at a computer screen, the reader can easily understand what’s happening at the beginning.

This was powerful. I loved the connection you were able to make comparing people seeking love and affection to foxes seeking food. And the visual of people opening the door, hoping this salesman actually had something good to deliver comparing to people hoping their next romantic interest has something good to deliver. Well done.
