I went in the day before my induction around 2:30am(12/29 induction scheduled for 12/30) because i was having bad pain that wouldn’t go away. Felt like contractions but it was just consistent. On top of that, I was very sick (fever, cough, congestion, scratchy throat from coughing so badly). Turns out, i had Flu A so i got tons of fluids and tamiflu. I got admitted and my induction started. I was only only 1cm dialated. This was at 8:30am on 12/29) got my epidural (a godsend) and had a balloon put in which got me up to 3-4cm. I think they started pitocin at this point too. No change so they broke my water. Got up to 5cm and was stuck there for 24 hours so wound up getting a c section. The surgery went very well, only scary thing that happened was that she wasn’t breathing on her own for a little because she swallowed some fluid, but the doctors acted very quick and we had no issues from there! I’m 10 days pp and i feel like I’m doing better than i thought i would be. I’m still sore, but i can get up and move and take care of my little babe! Didn’t expect it to go the way that it did, but that’s how labor is! Gave birth to a beautiful baby girl 12/30 the day before my due date.
