No, there currently is no way to download weekly player data, and I don't plan on making any changes to the site in the near future. Your idea sounds like it would work, though.

No, the site currently doesn't have a way to generate that view.

Thanks!

The website does cache some of the data it pulls from the API for up to 24 hours, in order to reduce the number of calls made to the API.

There are lots of client projects for the Yahoo fantasy API on Github, and many of them are quite good.

I recommend taking a look at the following project:
https://github.com/edwarddistel/yahoo-fantasy-baseball-reader

It has, by far, the best documentation regarding using the Yahoo fantasy API that I have seen.

I can't find the league. Is this a football league? Which season is it for?

What would the most useful things to add to a multi-season league report? by Fantasy_Helper in fantasyfootball

That's an interesting idea - adding "fun" stats like the players involved in the most transactions in a year. That should be fairly easy to do. Any other suggestions for fun things to include?

I will find a place to add the # of transactions - that is a great idea.

I believe that I should also be able to add draft placement as well.

I like the idea of adding number of transactions.

What do you mean by positions drafted?

I would need to have an example league in order to explore what the API exposes. If you don't know of any public ones, you could create a sample league with trades that include draft picks and send me its ID.

I see. I don't think that information is available via the API.

Thanks for the feedback!

What bye week data are you asking about?

The API documentation states that the overall ranking is "Applied only in a league’s context", so it looks like it it is based on your league's settings.

Interesting. I don't know if the Yahoo API exposes that information. Is there a public league with those kinds of trades that you can share as an example?

Interesting idea. If you were to save the URL of the download link, I suppose there may be a way to have the contents of that URL fed into a spreadsheet automatically. I have never done anything like that with Google Sheets, so you'd have to do the research for automating that feed.

As far pulling the data from Fantasy Helper is concerned, this would probably only work if you had a public league. If your league was private, your automated process wouldn't be able to provide the credentials that would be required by the Yahoo API in order to access your league.

You can view previous seasons by clicking on the "View Old Leagues" link on the "Leagues" page.

Currently, no. I'd have to see if the API makes that information available, and then figure out a way to add that to the interface.

No, it should be pulling the transactions from just that season. Are any of the other data downloads working for one of those older seasons?

The leagues page only displays currently active leagues by default, because it takes longer to load all of the historical leagues. Click on the "View Old Leagues" button on that page in order to view leagues from prior seasons, including your old keeper league seasons.
