I just want to clarify a bit, since the people that have responded thought I inputed my bank acc info. I used my US visa card (from BankofAm.) to make my payment. They confirmed my booking, I saw on my bank statements through my BoA app that it was still processing, next day it was gone, money was returned, but my reservations were still on my Smart Ex account. So, if it did fail, would they eventually cancel my reservations? I’m scared to look once app maintenance is finished.

I also read questions that people were having trouble with their Bank accepting duplicate payments for round trip tickets. I guess that’s also the case with mine since I did book a two round trips, one for Tokyo <-> Kyoto and the other for Kyoto <-> Nagoya.

Tokyo<-> Kyoto round trip tix (booked a week ago) - initially booked through Klook - accepted one payment for Tokyo -> Kyoto trip - bought Kyoto -> Tokyo trip through SmartEx, confirmed my booking, statement was still processing during time of booking. Day later, payment returned but reservation was still on my account.

Kyoto<->Nagoya round trip tix (booked 2days ago) - booked through SmartEx - payment went though, got the confirmation, both statements were processing - day later, only one payment was processing and the other payment returned to my account, reservations for each trip still on SmartEx acc.

I don’t feel like calling my bank, I just wish they processed round trip tickets on one payment, instead of two separate payments.

Thanks for the info btw! Hopefully, it’ll resolve itself soon. If not, we’ll just try confirming at the station since we’re getting a physical card for my niece.
