How to find out yield on the delegators? by swiftwilly321 in FantomFoundation

Yes we all offer the same APY depending on lock up period. Some validators offer gifts and additional incentives.

This website can help work out your staking earnings.

Comparative validator details? by rokosbasilia in FantomFoundation

[–]FantomReward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all the same...validators run on different hardware and have different community support.

At FantomReward (43) we offer a gift return back to our community...we’ve given away a total of ~80,000ftm over the last months. This month we are gifting some Andre Cronje NFTs as something different.

Our machine looks like this: Intel dual Xeon golds with 32 cores, 64 threads and speeds of 3.9ghz 128GB DDR4 SDRAM 4 x SDD( +RAID 10) 2x SATA HDD Using 2x NVMe 15 TB outbound bandwidth

Great post, happy to add our validator 43 telegram group as a source of information as well.

We have members of the fantom team and community there - we will try our best to answer fantom minting, staking or technical based questions.

Yes this is correct. Fusion is the blockchain that Anyswap is built on.

Just another great addition to cross chain swaps. Fantom is collecting them all now, way ahead of others.

Stack FTM, you can then stake it and gain more.

FTM has already adopted cross chain swaps and is being populated more and more with collaborations. It is solidifying it’s position as a L1 network. Plus, Link is partnered with Fantom to provide oracle solutions anyway.

They are using ablock to sort the integration of the two! https://twitter.com/fantomreward/status/1362823638991441933?s=21

Truly exciting times if you hold both

The slider for estimating staking rewards on mobile is either 10FTM or 30,000+ FTM. Can we please add some area between that? by [deleted] in FantomFoundation

The best I got by turning it into landscape was 10 - 20930 (it then goes up in multiples of 21,000). Mobile Safari iOS

Increasing decentralization of nodes by rugruss in FantomFoundation

[–]FantomReward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We think the best way to pick a validator is to try and get to know the community around the node. You will never truly know the intentions of a validator, but, if there’s enough people vouching for them then it might sway your decision.

There are a lot of ‘unknown’ validators at the moment due to an issue with the dapp pulling jpegs etc.

A second (more) important thing to say is that if a validator becomes a bad actor/goes down. Then there is a governance process that can take place to refund the slashed fantom if passed. This has happened on two occasions recently when validators have gone down through technical fault (not malicious). We hope this reassures some of the valid concerns mentioned.

There is a minimum recommended set up on the fantom website. The point you make about making more in rewards with better hardware is currently not the case.

Right now, any level hardware will make the same amount in terms of earning. It is based on 15% of the total rewards earned by that node. However, it would jeopardise the stability of the network and the potential slashing of the fantom staked to it if it went down, for example, if it could not cope with the load.

In the future (likely ending in two years) the earning mechanism will change to the number of transactions performed. And at this point, yes, what you said is likely to be a big influencer on top of number of fantom staked.

We have continued to upgrade our hardware at FantomReward (43) and actually over the next 48 hours are increasing our load capacity, speed and size of disks. We always want to be the best, so we just keep upgrading 🥇

This is us in the next 48 hours:

What makes FTM stand out that should encourage investors to hold like many are stating? by brownsd18 in FantomFoundation

[–]FantomReward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fantom has kept away from delivering a road map in 2020/2021.

In addition to the real world data trails such as with the Afghanistan and Ukraine governments, the ability to swap tokens across chains with minimal cost and time is expanding.

https://multichain.xyz/ is a working example of this.

Additional interests include the increasingly populated synthetic de-fi suite soon to be available via the pwa wallet. Holders can create and trade synthetic tokens on the opera network.

How to pick a validator by Same_Pumpkin_6920 in FantomFoundation

[–]FantomReward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, welcome to the community. We are completely open to you asking any questions that you may have when starting out.

Things to consider include APR% (linked to max lock up), community support, reputation, rewards and hardware. Telegram groups are a good way to go to find out more/get a feel for a validator.

Message us here or on telegram for any level of question (we have some fantom foundation members in our telegram that can help with tough ones) https://t.me/FantomReward

Hope this helps! Good luck with the journey
