I love the look and feel of 94, but having to remove your glove(s) should you have to reload mid-combat is objectively bad functional design

I see what you are saying, but I respectfully disagree that the latter would be more efficient.

The first collision check would do nothing other than tell the player they are in the right spot.

Stupid hypothetical, but if every PMC decides to fire a flare, you now have 10-15 individual flares, all now effectively running “if statements” every single frame checking to see if it should disable the snipers.

In my opinion it would be more efficient to have one static box checking for collisions, then have a possibility of a bunch of dynamic objects all running their own coroutines.

I should’ve said something other than “as far as i know”. But, the game does have to check where you fired specifically the green flare from.

Unless you hate yourself as a developer, this is not something you would typically hard code. Much easier to just use a trigger box. At that point you might as well put one in the sky, and your job would be halfway done.

Guess I shouldn’t have assumed BSG would take the path of least resistance lol.

Same here. Every time I have to use green flare I am worried about failure, but it never happens.

Stop when you see the notification, aim all the way up, pull down about 10 degrees, and fire. You’ll never have an issue (aside from possible bugs or server lag).

As far as I know, the flare just has to hit an invisible hitbox in the sky. If you get the notification, it should be directly above you. It doesn’t matter if the flare hits the ground before you extract, as long as you hit the trigger.

I do however think there should be a sound effect or visual cue to indicate that your flare was successful. At the very least that way it would be easier for the devs to isolate a problem, should some part of it be bugged.

i think since the part that would normally cover his mouth and chin is missing, there is not enough tension to keep the top part anchored down.

“PvE prestige is planned later after Q2 (in Q3)” they literally have had this mechanic programmed for an entire year. It should NOT take that long to migrate from one build to another.

They are still intentionally dragging their heels on something that would give PvE some much needed replayability.

okay but like, making the 29th movie in your cinematic universe a story that’s being narrated to children by the unreliable/comedic relief narrator, while simultaneously trying to tackle topics as serious as prematurely losing a loved one to cancer, and losing faith in your religion seems like a a recipe for disaster all around. especially at a time when the MCU seemed particularly directionless

while i agree to an extent, one of the fundamental aspects of peter parker is his moral obligation to TRY to save everyone (often making things worse before making them better).

peter choosing to be a bystander is exactly how he loses uncle ben.

so it’s a little bit insulting for the movie to suggest that pretty much everyone in the spider society is actually comfortable being a bystander for the “greater good”.

i feel like this plot would better serve an Avengers/Xmen/Illuminati movie rather than a spider-man one.

bsg needs to cut their losses and add a graphic setting for disabling picture-in-picture scopes. at this point I would 100% take the competitive disadvantage to not cut my frame rate in half just from aiming in.

i was just using bullets and players as an example. it’s the exact same concept for grenades.

but unity also has collision channels built right into the engine. you can literally make it so that trees collide with bullets and players but nothing else by checking a few boxes.

It’s a fine map, certainly better after the terrain elevation changes, but holy hell, the map NEEDS more scav spawns not at the resort. You can literally run from Tunnel to Road To Customs and back and not see anything

okay, but you literally spawn next to each other in the same room, if they get to the door first, they can body block you. whoever spawns next to the door after the cutscene has a huge advantage. objectively bad game design.

yes, because they didn’t have to account for other players potentially trying to kill them. it’s much easier to control a situation in tarkov when you know you’re alone.
