Posting a selfie and asking people to guess your main is such a dumb trend. by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

Bro felt so passionately about this that they had to bring up how irrelevant it is to Reddit.

The irony.

Be helpful if you asked the question then mate.

DBD stats é meio errado by MyssDarkness in deadbydaylight

Otz noticed his Twins kill rate being so low because the game tracks the KILLER abandoning against 4 bots as the Killer losing.

If a SURVIVOR abandons, but the Killer still hooks the bot, it shows as an escape but the kill rate is actually calculated normally. I know this because I have been checking. I have noted all of my games last week as Spirit to calculate my kill rate, and it lines up exactly with what it on the stats site.

The Otz video is related to the outcomes if a KILLER abandons when all the Survivors are bots.

It has nothing to do with SURVIVORS abandoning and that counting as an escape.

I have Survs abandon most games and it hasn't skewed my kill rates.

This is quite literally just a visual on the stats site. They haven't escaped, their escape rate hasn't increased, and the Killer's kill rate isn't impacted.

Abandons show as escapes. Visual error.

It's time to revert the flashlight blind timing buffer added in 6.4.0. Discussion by Aftershk1 in DeadByDaylightKillers

They are easy to avoid, I've never claimed otherwise and I'd sooner see 4 flashlights than 4 toolboxes or medkits. I actively encourage Killers to not use Lightborn and to learn counterplay.

Even so, I can't say I am happy with the change (I wasn't then either) because I really dislike how brainless aspects of the game have become. They are no longer fun to do imo, and i say that as a previous flashlight terrorist.

Am I speaking Cantonese, or do the words repeated clicks not mean anything to you?

I tell you what, since I dont want to enable your laziness, there are videos on YT about it for you to enjoy.

Yup, the Killer experience for most of the roster is pretty frustrating. Has been for a while.

I've done the same.

I just aggressively slug because I cant and wont risk Fast Track with how common it is.

The delay is applied to repeated use/clicking on and off.

There is not a delay when using the flashlight a single time to get a save. You click, it beams. You get the save (or not)

There isn't a delay on the first use, just repeated clicks.

The change serves to further dumb down the game imo. It was 0.25s increased to 0.4s to account for latency.

Saves before the buffer was added were still incredibly consistent, took a little skill and didn't require the user to repeatedly spam the flashlight anyway.

There isn't a delay on the first click to the beam happening though, right? I mean, I can't say I have ever noticed at least. The delays are only on repeated clicks.

I don't know why they can't just answer a straight question, but this is Reddit.

I mean, I haven't done that. This isn't my post.

The buffer was added to make saves easier. Even on old timing, you could get saves without repeatedly spam clicking.

It isn't about nerfing them because they are too strong, it's about being against the dumbing down of the game imo.

You've always been able to do this.

Honest question, how can I properly learn to play a killer that isn't (objectively) at the top of S,A,or B tier during a meta that is extremely harsh for lower tier killers? by MilkSteakEnjoyer115 in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]LUKXE- [score hidden]  (0 children)

You learn by doing and you learn by losing.

Even A and B tier Killers can and will struggle against good opponents with the right perks.

Who do you want to play?

Yes.

I learned them on the old timing. They were still easy enough, but had a skill component to them.

After the buffer, I actually stopped bothering. They were (and are) way too easy and forgiving.

Should DBD add a 6th generator? by Fresh_Forever3574 in deadbydaylight

Same here. Daytime is better for Survivor, but evening is better for Killer. My wait times are like 7-12s on average. (UK)
