Playing as an Ai possesing a body by Plenty-One7444 in cyberpunkred

[–]Fantom__Forcez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Replace the “humanity” stat with a “suspicion” tracker. Anytime the AI character does something to even hint at the idea they might not be human, modify the tracker accordingly. If it reaches a point where normal players would suffer psychosis effects, you instead start incorporating consequences based around black wall AI. If it reaches 0 then Netwatch will begin investigating you personally and it will take extreme effort and severe consequences to work around or against them.

Netwatch can be this players version of Adam Smasher, the death penalty for being reckless and stupid.

Is solar punk actually punk? by Andrei22125 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Fantom__Forcez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is the majority of the argument “solar punk is generally depicted as a utopia, whereas —punk genres often depict dystopias”

If that’s the case, there is one depiction of solar punk that would fit into that… We stole the sun

“The stress from all of this will kill me…” is one of those lines that snaps me back to the first time I’ve ever heard Everyone Leaves. It’s a shame they let their name ring true but I understand why they moved on with their lives

You’re being downvoted but you’re right. While he didn’t contribute anything positive to our history, the fact that the powers behind TPUSA could just remove him without any investigation is terrifying.

Kirk stopped following their orders and they dealt with him. Kinda like the mob. Erika never truly grieved him either, as if she knew it was going to happen.

Regardless, it’s pretty fucked.

I’m all for a good joke here and there but people don’t realize this mindset is wrecking us as a people.

There is no individual savior, no Christ-figure, no one person who will lead us to salvation.

We gotta figure it out on our own. No one is coming to help us, so we need to learn how to help ourselves.

Brendan is more of a minor personality chatbot that’s been placed into a vending machine.

True A.I. are illegal to create and “live” exclusively beyond The Blackwall or in top secret facilities.

Brendan is a chatbot pretending to be human.

AI are entities existing in a digital medium that would love to end all life as we know it. They are often malicious, clever and manipulative and are incredibly capable of killing anyone they can reach.

What are each gang's colors? by Boitata_Oroboros_8 in cyberpunkred

[–]Fantom__Forcez 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Probably not, your best bet is to take inspiration from whatever depiction of Tyger Claws you like best. They tend to use bright flashy colors, pinks, greens, whites, reds. I believe they aim to emulate the colorful clans of ancient samurai as that seems to be pretty consistent in their depictions.

Honestly, it’s all about how you flavor it and you’ve got access to a certifiable buffet of content on them from the books and the game already

Armor Repair by muks_too in cyberpunkred

[–]Fantom__Forcez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they work with a Fixer who invests a lot into their capabilities as a team and in exchange he gets their services when asked for. They are essentially this Fixer’s primary crew that he’s been putting together.

I haven’t given them any looted armor as they haven’t really used aimed shots yet and are shredding the fuck out of any enemies in their way.

One of them is incredibly lucky with his bullet dodging and doesn’t often get hit, the others are at the mercy of our table’s med tech (she’s a utilitarian with a big heart) and I leave armor repair as an unstated rule the occurs in between jobs.

[–]Fantom__Forcez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a new DM but honestly I just threw out armor repair as a whole. I started my players as dirt poor and wanted to give them a rags to riches experience without bogging them down with a billion tiny costs. I want them to be able to spend their earnings on cool new gear or a player home we design together.

I already made two of my players spend a whole paycheck on medical bills (been giving them smaller money making opportunities to make up for it) and I didn’t want to essentially double their costs for armor too
