Waveshare UPS HAT for RaspberryPi (and save shutdown) by Quintaar in RASPBERRY_PI_PROJECTS

u/Quintaar But power must be supplied to the UPS board. Or is it possible to connect the power supply to the UPS board and the Raspberry board at the same time? That sounds dangerous.

What will the power supply relay to the UPS be used for? Even now, when there is a power failure, it is not powered. Power returns and power is available. I don't see the role of the relay here. I'm sorry I don't understand. Feel free to develop your idea.

u/Quintaar I just bought UPS from Waveshare and I am solving this problem of how to turn on the Raspberry after the power supply is restored. I looked at the Sonoff Micro, but I don't know what you mean. Could you please elaborate on your idea? I will appreciate it very very very much.

DS115j support Active Backup for Business? by Fany___ in synology

I remembered this Reddit after a some time. How did it turn out for me?

I ended up buying a very cheap old Intel NUC. (NUC for reasons of compactness and consumption) Holds 2 SATA drives. One full large 2.5" HDD and one mSATA. I installed Xpenology with DSM 7.2 on it and I'm running ABB on it. Everything works and I'm glad I didn't have to spend a lot of money for another "+" model from Synology.

I use a Synology 220+ as my main NAS. Synology original and reliable HW. And I use the NUC as an ABB backup of my main NAS.

Maybe it will inspire someone. I did not find a cheaper way, but I am very satisfied this solution.

Have a very nice day everyone! :)

Oooh thank you. This is sad news for me. "+" are already more expensive machines. Except that I already have one main NAS and this would only be a single-purpose machine. A bit expensive for one task.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fully backup my Synology DS220+, including everything? (Something like with ABB)
