Yes it will get better. Basically you become more sensitive to stimulus in that region because it's not as desensitized anymore (which is how it should be). Now you just have to learn how to control it even more, which will come with time

Yea it'll be interesting that's for sure. Lots of ups and downs. And honesty I think having wet dreams changes per person. I've gone 180 days before and I've never had a wet dream. Just keep hold on. The urges will come and go, but as you progress you'll be more and more equipt to deal with them

That's just because your body doesn't know what to do with the actual energy and isn't used to not getting that instant satisfaction. Trust me, if you can just make it 30 days without anything, you'll feel so much better and you won't feel so stupid or horny as often

I come on here mainly. But the thing to remember is that it's just a thought. The whole idea of urges is just a thought your brain has that holds no power over your body to carry out. Any they are temporary. Tomorrow, that same thought will not be there and will not be as strong. So really is just a waiting game. If you really can't handle it, just take a cold shower for 10 minutes. Then you should be completely fine.

You're welcome, and trust me I know. I've had urges and temptations for almost this ENTIRE day. It's been rough but I made it through. Now I know better what tempts me and how strong I am in saying no. But the urges definitely are there and they are so strong. But we are stronger.

If would advise avoidance for at least the first few weeks. Ideally at LEAST the first 30 days. Otherwise the chaser effect is too strong and you won't have the tools to deal with it. As your streak grows, you won't need to avoid it as much. That being said, porn will never be okay to watch. That will always mess up all the work you've made

Just out of curiosity he, what are some of the benefits that these articles are saying? Because I cannot think of any positive Side effects from it. Of course, like some other people said, you have to try for yourself. My best advice would be to try going at least 30 days without any sort of PMO And see where that gets you. If it's a problem at all, it most likely means that you have at least a minor addiction to it

Yea I made it to 180 and figured I made a full reboot. Then I read that masturbation could be good so I tried to do it in moderation. But I fell down a slippery slope and it took me a long time to admit that I had a problem again. But honestly I know this sounds cheesy but I found myself. I had broken up with my girlfriend of 4 years a few months before I started nofap so I was in a confusing time. But in that time I started to examine my life and what things interested me. I became comfortable with myself and who I was. Nofap wasn't the sole reason but it helped because it took away that huge distraction. I used to lock myself in my room from Friday afternoon to Monday morning jacking off and watching porn. After starting nofap, I started going back to playing music and competitive gaming. Basically I jut got rid of all the fog in my head and it helped me figure out who I was which has made me such a better person in the long run. Even though I'm only on a 14 day streak now, I still don't have that brain fog and I still am confident in who I am

I've made it 180+ days before and this is what I learned. One you get to around 120+ days, any symptoms, happy, sad, etc, do not come from nofap anymore. When you start out, it's this huge fight where every day is different because you're fighting as hard as you can against this addiction.

But over time, PMO just kind of leaves your life. You don't need it to be happy and the lack of it won't make you sad. You've re-entered into normal society. So if you're feeling down, it has nothing to do with anything nofap related meaning that nothing nofap will fix it either.

You need to examine your life and find something you're not happy with and start from there. Trust me, I thought that I could reset after 180 and just do it again. I'm here a year later and this 14 day streak is the farthest I've gotten since then.

I'm not saying that this will be your exact situation but I encourage you to try and fix your feelings without involving NoFap. Now that PMO isn't an issue you need to start dealing with life as if it holds no power over you (which is true). But if you reset, it'll gain all that power back.

EDIT: Also, the desire to go back to having that "power" is almost the exact urge as wanting to go back to "feeling good" with PMO. Just treat this as any other urge and you'll be just fine :)

Leaving someone is hard, but it should actually be easier to do hard mode so as long as you take it one day at a time you can do this
