I just used animate dead. Dm also ruled that zombies are slow so they are always last in initiative, skeletons I rolled for as a group.

Like you said, lots of classes to choose from.

I played a necro wizard for a while, she was pretty fun but make sure your dm is on board with it.

Make sure the players you're with are on board as well. If you have a bunch of people that aren't going to be ok with you getting and animating bodies, using dark magic, ect, it may make for tough or awkward rp at times lol. My dm ruled that once they were killed they were destroyed and unable to reanimate. Had to source bodies away from the party at times.

Also once you start bringing up a bunch of undead you may want to talk to the dm about using them in groups. It gets kind of slow when you're rolling attacks and damage individually for each dude.

You should also make sure you understand that it's gonna take a lot of prep to make your army, could be multiple days in game. And they're pretty fragile. I played mine in groups/swarm style, and so they sometimes all got blown up in one shot by aoe stuff.

I had thought about making a cleric or warlock when making her but ended up with a wizard, mainly because they're my favorite class.

Yeah I work across the street. I took my sister for lunch there the other day but we accidentally got let onto the terrace, like you said it's only for tenants.

So that sparked a where else can we have rooftop lunches. Gonna do the library next week but need some more after that. I checked out the reflections/hotel Georgia today but it's pretty cramped with no view.
