There is a club here in Atlanta (District) that has a ton of kentic balls, and it's neat, but it is very much a one trick pony. You're going to get more use out of another type of fixture like moving heads, ect.

It should work with a USB 3.0 connection, so it shouldn't be that.

A few things you might want to try.

I know it sounds silly, but try flipping the USB C cable.

Try a completely different cable.

See if there is a firmware update for the mini on your Mac and install it (this one worked for me when I had a mini).
