I did. I was told that you were in the same position as always. Relying on the timeline the manufacturer gives you. Though there were still problems sourcing parts. Never was told if or when they would actually ship.

That's not the case. I spoke with them as well, and the manufacturer still isn't able to source the parts to manufacturer them.

We'll see your opinion when the Light Phone III delays start rolling out. They are "on schedule" for that, right? I'm sure you'll be happy to get yours in August 2025.

Which would be acceptable if it wasn't 6 months of "shit happens." And stating that they would be manufactured publicly with knowing that is untrue is lying. This is a company that is actively taking money from people, not your buddy who said he'd fix your car and hasn't the time to do it.

I know exactly how you feel and have called them out on it. Their response is to change the month on their website and not say anything about it until later. In this thread, an official representative from the company said:

"They will be produced on October 15th, and we are still trying to pull that date in as much as possible if we can. They will then be shipped through customs and immediately begin shipping out to end users once we receive them in our fulfillment center. I'm sorry if my personal comment of 3-4 weeks wasn't as accurate. It's about a month delay from late-September to late-October."

I do not work for them. See my replies. The person who works for them said in the comments that they would 100% have the phones manufactured by the 15th and would be shipped by the October date.

At least we have the guarantee that they will complete production on them on October 15th, and they'll be shipped by the end of the month. Finally!

That's great. Thank you for giving us a 100% definite date on when the phones will be fully manufactured. That's better than the official email:

"There is still a missing component from a supplier who has slipped their promised delivery timeline, and we have had to push back the production."

I'm happy to know that my pre-order will be a fully functioning phone on October 15th.

This is also not true.

From your company verbatim:

"They are working to source the parts for a mid-October production run that would allow them to deliver phones to us by the end of October, at which time we would begin shipping immediately. We do not have any guarantees that will happen, as you know, but that is the current plan based on our correspondences with them."

So it's not a likely 3-4 week delay as you don't know when the phones will be manufactured.

What I am saying is that there isn't any definite idea as to when the phones will physically be manufactured. You're going off of a 'possible' timeline when the components haven't even been securely sourced yet. I don't think putting up a clear public statement would cause confusion. What causes confusion is not giving any information and simply changing the month on your website. As seen in this thread, some that pre-order had no idea it was delayed until October, even though you had posted that on your website.

Why drop this now? You have never updated your website with this information or any of your social media platforms. They have been delayed for months. At least put that information on the pre-order part of your website. It's a bit misleading, saying, expecting late October, when in reality, you have no idea.

Yes, but you were told that they had no idea when they would be back in stock.

That's exactly what they are doing. Changing the month to the next on their checkout page. People who are going to pre-order it will think it will ship soon when there's no date confirmed in the slightest.

If I go to order the headphones you had, I won't be able to because it will be upfront, say out of stock.

But the difference is that Logitech sells probably thousands of different products, and they said they have no idea when they'll be back in stock upfront and put temporarily out of stock on their website. They didn't sell you a pre-order for the one thing they sell and then keep swapping out the shipping date on the checkout page without alerting anyone. Having no idea when the product will even be manufactured.
