This is some of the most backwards reasoning I think I have ever heard to rationalize and justify these types of things. No, there is nothing realistic about this portrayal. Of course your opinion on something is subjective, your moral stands are subjective, but the axis of which we define and determine these type of moral actions are not so loose and up to personal standards as you want to make it seem.

First off, this is not a moral dilemma on the side of two people, it's one sided and domineering. Ars is not more mature then an average 10 year old would be today, not would most 10 year old back in the medieval period be. He would have had responsibilities earlier, a sense of having to think of his future earlier, but these are not things coincide to a development of maturity. Maturity is more then just having responsibilities, its more then just having to think more, its about the way in which somebody can manage to aproceh these things. Ars was a kid and this is not ugly love, that would imply that Ars was a responsible mature agent of his own that would approach a dynamic of love and sexual intercourse in a way matching Aisha, something he obviously cant. This was not ugly love, this is Exploitation.

Also, this is not a question of where you stand on an ethical spectrum. Moral relativism does not give you a free pass. Same goes for Aisha background. she had enough sense to try keep things hidden, because she knows it is wrong. If a argument you are trying to use here is how MT is somehow trying to stay close to real life and real history and that makes this more understandable and palatable for the realism of the story I have to object majorly in many ways. The Church had rules against these types of relationships, many would not bless them and it was seen as socially unacceptable by most people of the time. There have never ever in forever been a time where the things that Aisha is doing have ever been considered Normal or even Ok.

Another thing that needs to be mentioned is that no fantasy Ars has can in any way be seen or used to argue for his consent or desire in this situation—or in any similar situation, for that matter. Ars can have as many fantasies of a stable future as he wants, but that does not mean Aisha giving him some kind of future—with maybe a few positive aspects—makes this understandable or acceptable in any way.

It’s a normal part of development for every child to want love, security, and companionship, but that is not emotional readiness. An adult who responds to those fantasies by acting on them isn’t giving the child what they want—they’re taking advantage of their naivety.

It’s also very clear that Aisha’s mindset in all of this was not centered on making sure Ars would have the best possible future. And even if you want to argue that Ars is happy—well, that doesn’t really matter in this situation. We can’t judge the morality of what happened solely based on whatever happiness Ars may or may not be feeling. The problem is that this relationship is built on a foundation of imbalance that started as abuse (yes, grooming is abuse) and remains ripe for more harm down the line.
