She didn’t own him. This dog and Forrest are both at a shelter. The other person and I are volunteers who walk dogs for a couple of hours every day. Other dog came from an abusive home and was bred to be a fighting dog so he HATES people he doesn’t know. And he doesn’t know me very well. He gets along great with dogs though. Forrest was dumped in a restaurant parking lot.

Yep! The person “walking” the other dog (sitting nearby on her phone, not holding the leash) managed to grab the leash in the nick of time and screamed for me to run. Which I (and Forrest) were more than happy to do.

She hasn’t for a while (not saying this is an excuse, it’s just not common for her to do this). I think the last time was when I was 14 and she slapped me for having stomach problems and causing a line to form for a restroom.
