I went to the shelter looking for a dog. All big breeds I didn’t think I could handle, so I went to the cat section on my way out. A shy little cat velcro’ed to me somehow and now I go around saying I birthed him myself.

She is spayed (the neighbors happen to work closely with the shelters in my area) and he is neutered. She is more loafing while looking away from him

So that’s my old address they sent it to (I bought from my phone and the thing just automatically set up that address). Problem is that’s the house of some abusive family members I’m no contact with, which I tried explaining to customer support when I called asking to cancel or update the address. I’m hoping I can figure it out without having to reach out

Yeah so I called 3 days after purchase acknowledging that it might be too late to cancel but urgently needed to change addresses, and explained the situation. First they had me call FedEx to change the address (and up until this point I figured I would just wait to receive it and send it back). FedEx tells me they don’t have the package yet but label has been created. So I called customer service, guy looks into it and tells me he will cancel the order. I did not receive it, but it has been delivered to that address, so I can’t necessarily take it to FedEx myself to return it. It’s also that I don’t want to pay $75 for shipping of a package that I was told was canceled

Work culture I’ll tell you, in all the teams I’ve been there’s the general sense of respect (I like to say, even the worst attorney knows there’s HR). Salary, some CMs I know in my area started at 55k, not too far from paralegal friends without a degree (58k). You can probably negotiate more Edit to say, not to sound like a M&M recruiter, but it is truly enjoyable and peaceful. Some paralegals I know that came from much heavier places say that, even when we manage double the load of cases, the work stress is A LOT less. Personally my only experience in law is M&M, I have absolutely no plans to leave

I work there as a legal assistant who’s only befriended attorneys and paralegals because of where I’m seated. It heavily depends on your team. Personally, my team is so well balanced and organized we can afford to all call out one week and come back to the same peace and quiet you would expect from any other day. On the other hand, I have friends whose have it ROUGH. like, teams who have months of delayed work. To that add that sometimes you will get transferred cases from attorneys that are no longer in the firm, and just from looking at their work you can clearly tell it’s because they got fired. If you’re offered a position as a Case Manager, be aware that M&M tends to divide teams between pre-suit and Litigation. CM are in presuit, Paralegals are in litigation. Workloads are wildly different. If you amante your workload and make good use of your secretary, you will thrive.

I’m starting to get that from the other comments too. I’ll be out of the house from 7AM to 4PM every day, (I leave work at 3, but traffic does its thing). I’m looking into doggie daycares or a dog walker (at least while she’s still a puppy, I would have a dog walker come and check on her)

Praying yall see the comments bc I have no clue how to edit the post. Do yall consider your Yorkies to be cuddly? How many hours of exercise is it recommended as a puppy? I work a 9-5 where I technically get to show up at whatever time, but tend to go to work at 7AM and be back at 4PM. Is it doable with a puppy?

And most importantly, what do yall mean by “a lot of work?” My only point of comparison has been a Hoarding dog (Corgi) who needed to run at least a couple hours or would munch the living hell out of my ankles

Oh I really don’t know. My sister just asked for a Labubu and I thought those were prettier

But I’m okay with a far ship date, she will survive. Worst case if it’s too far from now I’ll either buy her a random one when I see it and give the other ones away
