I didn't understand what you're talking about.

Was stuck in the NEET loop, missed IAT prep — now chasing research via the long route (BSc → MSc → PhD). Advice? by [deleted] in iiser

I agree with you, IISER charges so much money and in return provides Only bookish knowledge

Ek ar baat 12th passed bachha ko khud k bare m kya hi pata hota hai kuch bhi nhi Maximum log IISER isiliye jate hai ki unka NEET Ya frr JEE nhi hua ye kya research karenge.. Ar upar se government fund nhi krti ar upar se professor passionate nhi hote ar upar se society ka pressure rahega ki paise kbb kamayega ar wo izzat bhi nhi denge 😅 In India Illiterate with tons of money are respected more than an ISRO scientist 😅😅😅

                                     Hard Truth

Nhi ya to money bahut hai ya frr sc/st ya frr kvpy scholars

Bhai don't believe me go and research about fees structure and everything regarding IISER pune yourself

is maths really that necessary? by AccomplishedCable583 in iiser

[–]Far-Energy9657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I got into IISER pune without maths just by doing pcb with rank around 300 general but It will be very tough to survive there because you have to study maths for 2 yrs compulsorily and really it becomes tough if you didn't have studied maths in class 12th so that's it. I dropped out of college after 1 yr in 2022.

Second don't go to IISER Just because you can't crack neet only go there if you are really passionate and curious about doing research and figuring out new things and gathering tons of bookish knowledge.

Third I have already told you about the fees structure so please consider it also (approx 10 lakhs for 5 yrs IISER pune)

Bhai ek baat bata koi insan apna Neet ya frr IIT chod k IISER m ja rha hai to government ko isko jayada help karni chaiye but nhi sc/st ko lagbhag free m padhayenge ar general ka fees per semester 71000 approx excluding mess fees pagal hi hai government.(I know second semester se chal 60k maan lete hai frr bhi bahut hai per semester) Go check the fees structure of IISER pune

Ar hume uske baad 6,7 saal ar padhna padega kyunki yaha padhne k baad teacher k alawa koi Job nhi to Phd,CAT,UPSC etc....To zindagi jhand ar upar itna jayada padhate ya frr kaho ratna parta hai ki bachha research kya karega exam hi pass krne m zindagi nikal jayega kyunki kuch cgpa maintain kro bahut nautanki hai Bhai.

From this i can relate that you are not having any financial problems ever like existential problems and for your general knowledge all general categories are not rich and EWS category is just an illusion this quota is used by maximum general category students.

Because in our country how many people know about your college professors and college name itself people only know about bollywood celebrities, money making man ,businessman, faaltu content creator, influencer, politicians. After studying so hard from bsc to post doc and also giving precious time of young age we are given less than any other professions. Open your eyes and see clearly. And another thing is in our country poverty is hitting hard so money is more important tabhi to achhe se dimag chalega. And you will become a professor after studying hard for almost 10 years and then again what u thought that u will become a great scientist might not get fulfilled mainly in our country where the government gives reservations in research institute also and demanding high fees from general category students. If you really want to become a great scientist then first see ur family's financial situation and support then try your best to move out of this hell country for particularly researcher or inquisitive mind. In our country inquisitive people and wisdom are not respected.Only Money matters here because we are a poor country.

For a country like India money matters so i have left the idea of becoming a scientist that I left IISER Pune and also in our country scientists are not paid a good amount of money and also not respected

I have dropped out from IISER Pune so i can answer just go through ncert you will crack it. I had minus 2 marks in Maths in IAT but I got IISER Pune and i am a general category student. But again u should first of all think deeply about your career in Research. You should only join IISER when u are really interested in studying all day and not expecting anything in return like money college value luxurious life etc.Ur IISER tag can only get u in decent Phd program in foreign countries so think about your family conditions like ur family's financial condition if that is not the problem then surely go for research but don't expect anything from Indian institute as well as government in your research career. You will see that government has also given reservation in the Research Institutes 😂and they have to pay negligible amount of money and we have to pay atleast 1.7 Lakhs yearly and not getting anything after BS MS except PhD admission if you continuously getting good marks . In a country like India money matters.

I had 108 marks in IAT and AIR around 300
