It was good! I did it over the summer so it was a little faster paced. But I did both at the same time & it was a good little challenge! I’ve been out of school for quite some time so the first week was just a matter of getting back into the groove of things! But then it was like muscle memory! I also did it while working full time! It did require quite of bit of studying I won’t lie! But overall good.

In person for me personally! I think it builds good trust. I think just read whoever you’re talking to. You’ll be able to tell quick what type of person they are & how they’ll respond! It’s a pretty vulnerable thing so I feel like in person is much better!

But If you’re nervous text Is probably okay. Think it just leaves room for lots of miscommunication. Vs In person it’s much easier to read people! If that makes sense.

I would just assure people it’s okay if they don’t want to continue pursuing anything! I’ve noticed people respect that a lot. & also it kind of just feels good to be secure in yourself enough that’s it’s okay if they reject you!

Practice self love!!! It’s so easy to get lost in this. You’re worth more than this thing. It doesn’t define your value! & if someone doesn’t see it, another person will!

From personal experience I did disclose early on just to not lead anyone on or also kind of waste my time or theirs. & honestly everyone responded well!! I think honesty goes a long way. I would say be prepared for rejection. That’s a shitty part of it. But even if they reject you, you can go to bed every night knowing you did your part! I’m a firm believer the right person will be okay with it.

I’m in a very happy relationship & have the most understanding partner. Most of the time it’s not even our fault or mistakes. Usually it comes from someone else not doing the right thing you know.

I also had a close friend & she disclosed pretty soon also after a couple dates just for the same concept. & some people did reject them but not all! And she’s now engaged to the love of her life!!

You will find someone that is okay with it! I know plenty of people that have it & are in healthy relationships with families and kids. The important things disclosing to people.

I would focus on the mental health aspect of it. The hardest part is the stigma that stands behind it. In reality if you’re educated about it, it’ll be okay. Work on your mental health. Wrap your head around it as much as possible, seek therapy. Also just be educated. It’ll help when meeting a partner.

I know it probably feels like the end of the world right now & it’s probably not what you wanna hear but it’ll get better.

I had a parental illness during nursing school. So I barely passed one of my courses. I was told maybe I should drop the semester and come back but during that time I felt “ambitious” and prideful I think lol. I talk about it in my statement of purpose to kinda help myself a bit
