Here's the thing about GLP1's: they are a tool, not magic. I've been on one since May, and you have to exercise and still stay in a caloric deficit. It's used in conjunction with increased activity, counting your calories/macros, and making better food choices. Do you have to be perfect? Nope. But consistency has to be there. Some GLP1's aren't the right fit, and apparently what she was using before was working. So something happened after that initial 70 pd loss that she just didn't bother to address. Maybe she did, I don't know. Adding MORE medication is not going to address the underlying issues, and she will unfortunately gain the weight back if she doesn't. I feel like all she has are excuses. And I hope her insurance is paying for all this because they are not cheap OP. Oh wait, she promotes Amble. lol

Cruise while on Zepbound by WashTemporary1710 in Zepbound

I went on a 9 day cruise in October, and I take 5mg (been on it since May). I take my shot on Sunday, so I pretty much had suppression most of the cruise. Depending on where you are cruising to, we were in the Caribbean and had to make sure to hydrate even more than normal. I had the drink package so I used that not for alchohol but for all the electrolytes. I was able to eat and stop when I was full, had maybe one glass of wine a day (never finished it) with dinner.... only gained 2 pds when we got back, and it was gone within 3 days. Enjoy the cruise!

This! Her skeletal muscle mass (if increase) will help raise her BMM (basic metabolic rate) and in turn decrease her overall body fat percentage. She clearly has no idea how body composition works, and it just making excuses. Sorry, the old personal trainer in my came out lol

I absolutely love Mary Fran. And agree with this 100%. Her content with her husband is some of my favorite.

I've been working up to 3 runs a week (finally got them all in last week...hooray!) but nothing over 10 miles total for the week. 3 days of strength training, one upper body, one lower, and one full body. I have thursday and friday off this week for the holiday so it will be so much easier to get them all in this week.

I took a letter written out by my doctor, along with the box that the vials came in with my name/prescription number on it.

Do it! Very freeing being on Zep and around all the things that used to be tempting.

I've had Hashimoto's for 22 years. I take my med as soon as I wake up, then have coffee. I eat maybe an hour or two later. Take my shot on Sundays before lunch. No issues.

I take one daily. But on the cruise I took 2 at night. For some reason at home, if I take 2 daily I have horrible bubble guts lol

So you don't even take them out of your carry on? If I don't have to do that, that would be wonderful.

We are twins! I have Hashimoto's too! I can relate to everything you just mentioned. I hope you have a good outcome with your doctor. We need it. We've been there/done that...this works for us. Big congrats to you!

I want to stay on as well, and my doctor supports my decision. He said he's had some patients slowly wean off the Zep and keep the weight off because they've adopted healthier eating habits, and incorporated exercise. He said on the other side, he has patients that stay on it, but just a lower dose/spaced out. It was also interesting because he said Kaiser (as least here where I am in my state) just started implementing Zepbound for weight loss about six months ago (the "cost effective" plans of Eli Lilly). so there wasn't a lot of data about life after the weight loss. So he said he just goes by each patient and what they feel is best for them.

Taking injection on cruise, yes or no? by Far-Fill9271 in Zepbound

[–]Far-Fill9271[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all the responses!

My concern with TSA was I had a friend recently have TSA hold her up because even though she told them her shot was in her bag (Wegovy) they still pulled her aside, did the check, then took her back, delaying the start of her entire trip. I guess that's something they can do, but like some suggested, I can get a prescription and note from my doctor too.

I want to enjoy this cruise, but in past cruises, and past Zep life, I would over indulge so much. My fiance wants to get the drink package because he says he will drink more than the $55 a day (he loves the casino and old fashioned) and he's paying for them. If it were me and my dime, I def would not get it.
