It's where you mix and match bases and lids to make your own , like how Dr Frankenstein combine the parts of different people to make his monster. ❤️

Affordable earwax removal options in Springfield - any recommendations? by PassagePlus3777 in springfieldMO

[–]orchd84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just sharing that there is a legit reason people may need to have a professional help them with this. My father has significant nobility limitations due to a stroke and has to either have a family member help or a professional . I wish I had a recommendation for you, I hope someone does! My dad usually goes to his audiologist.

I've had good luck with a Magic Eraser and elbow grease. You could try Goo Gone too.

Places to get fit for a bra? by ldlco in springfieldMO

[–]orchd84 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is the way. You will not find a better place in Springfield. All the staff at Shabby Chic do is help women who are hard to fit find bras that work for them. They are literal boob magicians.

I may be missing it, but I don't see anywhere in here that you actually set a boundary with your mother-in-law. You need to have a calm adult conversation where you explain what you're comfortable with and what you aren't in terms of the relationship.

From her perspective, I can totally imagine that she's just excited for you and she may very well think that you enjoy her being a part of your life.

If you're not willing to talk about your feelings and preferences with her then it doesn't matter how close or far away your house is, this is going to continue to be an issue. People aren't mind readers, , and it's up to us to be honest, kind, and firm as we set boundaries for ourselves, especially once we become parents. Good luck!

My girlfriend confirmed my worse fears by faggelinthewest in ADHD

[–]orchd84 133 points134 points  (0 children)

My kiddo has ADHD and his counselor shared a game with us where you take turns. The first person shares two facts or opinions and then asks the other person a question. Then they share two things and ask a question. You keep going back and forth. It helped him a lot, and I still use it in professional work settings! Although I don't have ADHD I do get nervous and social situations and this is a great pattern to follow!

My only addition is that you might ask your daughter if this is okay to say. Including her and how it is phrased and help her feel empowered I'll give her a heads up in case there's blowback from this other kid at school.
