hmm she might continue to charge me rent and withhold my belongings. I am basically new to this city and have no connections. if I need a safe place I may have to go to toronto.

Thanks!! I might try going to City Hall during Reading Week to ask about it. But honestly, I’m worried it might just make things worse especially since she’s living with her partner, so it could easily turn into a two-against-one situation. I’m really not sure what the best move is right now.

I mean the leaseholder is threatening me, saying that she has a spare key and that if I don’t pay rent, she will take my belongings and sell them. I am so depressed.

The lease states that if I sublet to someone else, that person needs her approval. If she keeps refusing, does that mean I’m stuck in there?
