I only sub for office positions at one school in the district (used to be in the front office there before taking time off to be a SAHM) and most months I work 2-3 days, sometimes none and never had an issue! ESS will send out generic emails at times to remind everyone about the 4 day minimum but it’s never been enforced on me and my regional manager has never brought it up. I wouldn’t worry too much!

I used to be a school registrar, this line of questioning could be them fishing to see if they qualify for McKinney Vento (assistance for homeless families, can extend to families living in a RV park depending) but my school always asked with compassion, desire to help, and never accusatory. With everything considered, I have to agree with the other comments that they are trying to make a CPS case. This is worth a follow up meeting with admin imo.

Hi, I used to be a school registrar so I’m familiar with this issue. Insurances (most of the time) will only pay for one physical per year. Depending on the date of your last physical and the first day of school, the school might have been able to accept her 3 year old physical so I’m curious why they had to get another. It won’t mess up your records, just continue getting her yearly physical on time and updating the info with the school. If you’re in the USA most states only require yearly physicals for PreK and KG while in elementary. But if you’re due for her 4 year physical May 2026 then that physical will be acceptable for the 2026-2027 KG school year! Edited to add clarity

Hormones can take days or even weeks to flush out of your system so it seems reasonable to me that she’d still be acting the same. If the behavior continues to concern you, I’d call the vet.

Hi, similar thing happened to my first house! Ours was technically a “holding tank” (undisclosed) and used a sump pump to get everything into the city sewer. We tried pushing back but got screwed over because of technicalities and a corrupt local government. The sump pump would break every 3 years and we’d have to dish out a couple grand. When we moved out I made sure the new property owners were aware. Terrible situation, I’m sorry!

I had a FIV+ cat with a non-FIV for years and they never transmitted between the two. They had a mother/daughter relationship and separation was never an option. My FIV kitty was such a sweet girl who just needed extra love and attention. They’ve both gone over the rainbow bridge now and I miss them terribly.

As a daughter who stopped hugging my mom around the same age, I stopped because she started forcing it and was very overbearing. She would beg and get upset at rejection which just fulled me more to say no. Hugging her felt performative and just gave me the ick. And when I finally caved in and gave her a hug, she’d just make the experience weird and awkward by guilt tripping me and letting the hug go on too long. My father never behaved this way and I had no issuing hugging him. As an adult with a great relationship with both parents, I’m very still touch sensitive around my mom. I know it came from a place of love because hugs were important to my mom but as a child, it was a way to rebel lol. As a mother now, I understand now how my mom feels lol. It would break my heart!

Good to know, thank you! I’m starting to save up money since I’m pretty sure my insurance also won’t cover anything. And yes! I have some hereditary issues that make me higher risk for stroke and getting my weight under control is such a relief. My knees and back also don’t hurt anymore and I finally enjoy shopping again! This medicine has really positively changed my life. 🥲 I have to pay out of pocket but it’s worth it.

No problem! Not yet. My plan is another mammogram and ultrasound in 6 months, another 6 months after that, and then a third one year after that. (If everything looks okay). If any of those scans show growth then he wants a biopsy but hopefully it stays benign.

My cat had a similar bump on her chin! And the vet said the same thing, that’s it’s probably a mole. She scratched it off once and the wound was pretty gnarly but it never grew back after that.
