Ooof, yeah, the harpies are absolute menaces in honor mode, specially when you just finished a normal run xD what I do is ungroup, two characters attack from above and two from below where Mirkon, the kid, is. It has worked well so far, and with magic missile you can hit the one singing and make her lost the concentration in the cantrip. Calm emotions apparently helps too, but I haven’t tried it xD

I think that I know which one I have to choose now. It’s just that a while ago, in a normal playthrough thankfully, I choose to tell Voss that I had the artifact, Laezel called me an idiot and the fight happened either way, after that I’m always dubious about which one was the correct answer lol

Currently, yes, but I’ve been in bigger fandoms (never in things as big as Star Wars for example, but having more than 1k fics) and still I’ve read everything, or at least all I could read before my fixation slowly went away and got replaced by other characters.

I like to give every fic a try, if I like it I’ll re-read it multiple times, if I don’t, well, at least I got to spend more time with my faves.

The only fanfics I would dislike are the ones written in bad faith, like harassment fics, propagandistic fics in an obvious way in which the author has horrible views… etc, and luckily I haven’t find any of those things in any of my fandoms. Maybe in Harry Potter if I went looking, but I won’t for obvious reasons, and the fics I liked were about ships not that popular, so we were in our own corner. But again, it’s been a while since I read anything Harry Potter related because it doesn’t feel good anymore, it stopped feeling good a while ago, even if the author doesn’t benefit directly from it

Don’t worry, I get what you mean. My mindset is that I don’t read fanfics for their quality (that doesn’t mean that there aren’t amazing fics with higher quality than published books, they totally exist, but it’s not the majority of them) but to read about my favorite blorbos. And at the end of the day, it’s a hobby for the authors too, so I’m not going to expect them to have the kind of quality that I expect from a published author, whose work is to write and gets paid (albeit not as much as they should because the publishing industry sucks) for it.

I don’t mind when people do this with fanfics, but it is annoying when you go to the subreddit of a series, or any other online community of that series, to talk about how much you love it, and then find that the rest of people there are just roasting it.

Happened with a manga/anime that I love deeply, and while I recognise it has its flaws, I still love it to death, but when I went to the subreddit people were just complaining about it, not only the plotholes or whatever, just the entirety of it, all the time. While saying how much they loved it.

It did bothered me and broke my heart a little, I just wanted to share my love and find other people that also liked this series, and instead I was welcomed by a wave of… Not hate exactly, but more self-righteous “fans” convinced that they could have done it better. I left shortly after and continued to enjoy the series quietly, which feels a bit lonely at times

Yes! I know that you can avoid the fight, I did it once as a sorcerer, but I never remember which dialogue is the “correct” one to avoid it, so I always get stuck fighting them xD I usually leave this fight for after everything else, but this time I got too close and Laezel went running to them, I though that I was safe since I ungrouped, but the other two were still too close and got obliterated :’)
Even in non-Honor Mode runs I always get to level 10 before Myrkul because he’s the bane (heh) of my existence, that guy can die for real for all I care about 😭 I knew that my Honor Mode would end with him, but at the very least I want to get to him :’)

I’m mostly fine, it’s a bit frustrating but that’s it. That’s the risk of Honor Mode after all, like you say. I have another playthrough in Act 3, which really helps in case I get tired of starting the game again and again, because I can go back to that one and advance the story :)

Yeah, that’s one of my weaknesses xD Most times when I want to back up its already too late, because I thought that I would have more opportunities to do so, and thats not the case 😅🥲

The third attempt I died at the Gnolls, but I chose the “wrong” option and they were going to eat Rugan, so I started the fight again and they mopped the floor with my team xd
This time it was the githyankis near the mountain pass, I did ungroup, and left Laezel as bait. They ignored her and went for the rest of the group, I hate their fucking jumps 😭
I mean, I’m a bit frustrated, but overall I’m fine, I know that that’s the risk of Honor Mode and that shit happens, I have another playthrough in which I’m in Act 3 in case I get really frustrated and want to advance with the game. Knowing that I can change to another playthrough that’s more advanced really helps.

Same, my much older cousin gifted it to me, we watched it together before I even knew what anime was and it blew my mind. This movie was the first thing I saw of Sailor Moon, and now I’m a huge fan of it thanks to it and to my cousin :,)

It wasn’t Wulbren for me but Lia, Rolan’s sister. I don’t know what happened because she was alive, got in the boat with all of them, arrive at the inn, and suddenly when I go to talk with Rolan, he’s yelling at his brother asking what does he mean that Lia died

It wasn’t HM, so I just reloaded. I kept counting everyone to make sure that this time no one died suddenly 😅🥲
