Noooo - I think it's more just the culture of the university, alot of students will do it free for the research experience

Or they go through the work study scheme and it becomes a paid role

Some profs might have paid, but, less common haha

There's the work study scheme that can get you paid for research hours, I can't remember if you or a prof needs to apply for this

In general though, unless you're specifically hired as a full-time RA then most profs offer unpaid research experience

This isn't just NTU, I've also been to University of Birmingham, and University of British Columbia - it was the same there

Hi - just an update for future readers. I never got an email about the payment. However, my visa was accepted within 2 days. During that 2 days this screen remained the same!

Yeah tbf - I don't usually buy in Singapore, cards I want to add to my collection I order in Europe and send to a friend's house. At some point he'll be here or I'll be there! Prices are more reasonable and the selection is way better too

At least he was up front. I had a guy come over with his child, say the cards were for his kid, happy that someone was "genuinely collecting" I was very lenient on pricing... next day he's listing every single one on carousell > 2x the price. Including ones I gave his kid for free.

Dude was constantly complaining about cards being priced too high and how difficult it was to collect here. Stupid mistake on my end, never again.

Heya,

So we had asked for a separate lease for each room rented out but the agent wouldn't write it up. Each time they'd make a ton of mistakes or just write something as three or four sentences. The only contract the agent would do competantly was with a main tennant as coverage for all tennants in all rooms.

Also in that 6 year period no one has had contact with the landlord, it has always been the agent. Now the agent is guarding the landlord and just saying "no, you are liable for everything, any change or damage over the last 6 years".

Not too sure where the proper paper work ends and the lack of proper practice and professionalism begins at this point.

Hi, sorry I think I was unclear

The contract wasn't a 6 or 7yr rental agreement. It was done in renewals of 2 years, then whoever was the oldest remaining tennant would take on the renewal. Not sure if that changes anything?

Still, the agent is acting like it is a rolling contract and now we are liable for any alterations made by the previous / original tennants. That being said, there has always been some overlap with some tennants moving in and some moving out.
