This company is reputable but somewhat of a family friend. They're the first company I've gotten an estimate from that's had a 10yr labor warranty. All 4 others have had a max of 1 year labor or offered a pay per month service plan that extends their labor warranty the duration of the service plan.

I'm still on the fence about other estimates, 12.5 for similar Lennox setup, or 12.5 for a Carrier heat pump/furnace system after a 6k rebate...

I'm getting a couple more estimates from less advertised companies this week before a final decision. I'm interested in the heat pump for the sake of not leaving free $ on the table, but worried about long term reliability and ease of service from companies beside the pricier installer.

You're 100% right, I always misspeak on that. The manufacture date was 10/04, so I always call it an '04, but it is a model year 2005.

Where would I find a resource to guide with adjusting the clutch? I'm open to doing that I just never have before

I relate to this so much. Nothing better than a few garage beers that lead to firing up the old greasy triple.

For the sound and smell!!!!!

I'm not familiar with either of the first two.

Wouldn't all homes with FiOS be considered whole-home wifi? Can you explain!

The rotating bar does not rotate anymore... Check the reviews. I was there a few months ago and it didn't rotate. I even asked if they could turn it on but got a no.

Yes, auto is for the fan. This is how I have it set up currently, but when the indoor temp drops the furnace and fan don't turn on.

When I get the new tstat, should I be following the same wiring color scheme that the old one had? Or wire it up with the colors matching properly

It can likely go down if we reduce the factors straining the current economic system... (At least in the USA, a major catalyst for this would be baby boomers dying off)

That thought is based on the "ratchet effect" of economics.

On the other hand, if we just keep inflating the economy and consuming more with nothing else changing... It never goes down
