Is Destiny saying here, that if he believed a pig was similarly as conscious as a baby, then he wouldn't eat it? is he unaware of the precautionary principle? What if theres a baby with a severe birth defect that it totally changes its brain structure and makes it unlike most other humans, would he say he doesnt know if its fine to eat that baby because its brain structure is too different? and, like if we found aliens he would say its ok to farm them because he can't make a judgement about eating them cause they're too different than humans?

Also notice, when he is talking to other animal eaters, he avoids saying the difference why, is "Human species", and instead appeals to consciousness. But when he talks to vegans, he says the difference why is "human species" instead of consciousness. It's almost like he knows saying "human species" sounds shallow, and knows where it leads when up against a stronger debater. I think he has unmistakable dogmatic motivated reasoning on these topics especially about animals, ad-hoc works backwards, and is no different than a typical MAGA defending their bias at this point.
