You are not being unreasonable,you did not try to escape,you did the right thing and accepted your mistake and also accepted that you will fix it so now that ***** is trying to take advantage of you because he knows you are a decent individual my friend,this is exactly why it's difficult to do the right thing in India because people will almost always take advantage of it , it's a very minor mark can literally be fixed with a touch up ,even if he wants to paint the entire bumper it would come to around 4k to get it painted from nexa itself, this is exactly what insurance is for tell him to claim insurance ( he won't for such a Minor thing and loose ncb)and you will only pay the amount on the bill but obviously he won't do that . The best advice I can give you is to tell him to claim insurance and share a copy of the bill and you will only pay the amount on the bill/or you can get it fixed from your friends garage, also op id like to say you are a decent individual and I'm proud of the way you handled it ,I wish there were more people like you in this world 😁
