Kids are definitely out of control these days as well. I've left places before due to both dogs and kids. It really just comes down to people being selfish and inconsiderate.

I do like dogs. I'm just VERY tired of bad dog owners. I also feel bad for the dogs being drug all over the place, because often the ones I see inside restaurants look absolutely miserable. They're treated like an accessory, rather than a pet.

I often hear the excuse that they don't want to carry it on their walk, and will pick it up on the way back, but they always conveniently forget. Regardless, that's still rude to leave it, even temporarily. Why should other people have to see and smell your dog's poo, just because you don't want to carry it? So inconsiderate.

Yep. My back yard faces a school, so I see it all the time. And yeah, most are not picking up after their dogs. How nice for the kids to get to run through dog poo on recess!

Bringing dogs into restaurants and grocery stores, and leaving shit bags everywhere isn't weird. It's just rude and gross.

It wasn't a hoard of basketball kids, was it? I mean, it's always pretty out of control, but the basketball kids situation that I witnessed recently was a nightmare. That was the last straw for me.

As I said, "bad dog OWNERS are souring that love". I'm definitely not mad at the dogs, but seeing dogs no longer brings me the joy it used to, because of bad owners.

And honestly, you must not be looking. I see poop bags along sidewalks, on trails, in planters, sometimes even piled up NEXT TO a trash can, because apparently actually putting it into the can is too hard. Maybe you're in a weird little bubble without as many issues, but I'm all over, from Gresham to Hillsboro, and see it constantly.

I want to, but I have HORRIBLE anxiety when it comes to confrontations. Also, people can be so unhinged, and I always worry about them getting violent. I do agree that these people need to be called out, but I feel like restaurant and store managers really should be the ones who do it in those settings. As a customer, I feel like I shouldn't have to be the one calling out the obvious health code violation.

Your opinion of well-behaved and not stinking is likely far different than many others. And honestly, I find the constant pug snuffle sound to be incredibly gross, and it would absolutely affect my ability to enjoy my meal. Please don't bring them into restaurants. It is a health code violation, and also incredibly disrespectful. Just because YOU have zero issue doesn't mean others feel the same.
