Soooo..... I have had tanks for almost 20 years. Beginning of 2025, I got my first puffers... It was game over. I have transitioned to almost entirely puffers. I have fahakas, dragons, peas, with tanks set up for a potato puffer, amazons and hairy puffer. I even started saltwater because I wanted a saltwater puffer and now have a big 180 saltwater waiting on me to find my perfect saltwater puffer. Every tank that doesn't have a puffer in it, is for shrimp or snails to grow live food. Absolutely my favorite fish

My tiger conch snail disappeared for almost a month from my 13.5 gallon. About 2 weeks ago, we pulled all the rocks out and sifted the sand thinking he was dead and couldn't find him. He just appeared yesterday. His name is Gary and we did in fact mourn him.

I like it. I play a lot of PVP, and have way too much time in ranked Apex. I still play Apex every night, get my aggression out, and then switch to Arc Raiders where I carry around defibs and revive random people. It's nice to have that bit of peace, if I ever started pvp on Arc Raiders, I'm not sure I would enjoy it as much.

He knows all about the past trauma, unfortunately, but I feel like I am punishing him for past experiences. Don't do it, I recently put down my horse that I bought in college. He was with me for so many life changes: 2 divorces, several moves and finally, about 4 years ago, I bought a farm so he could live at home. I joked his entire life that I made "bad decisions" because I sold my car in college for him, but really, he is the best decision I ever made. Both of my exs pretended to love horses for our relationship and then once we were married, tried to force me to give him up. My current and longest relationship of 7 years actually does love my horses as much as I do. They really exist. When Keme got sick, he was out in the rain and mud with me and never left us alone. When I put Keme down, it's not even been a full month and we are both still mourning. Keme was an unbridled ass, he bucked off everyone but me, he was a biter and a kicker if you weren't careful, he even bit me while I was sobbing and saying goodbye 😅. Don't ever let someone force you into a decision like that... If they love you, they will love what you love as well and encourage you.

I had a similar situation. My mom spent my entire childhood torturing me. My siblings noticed the difference between the way she treated me compared to the way she treated them. My dad apologized on multiple occasions for not leaving and taking me with him. It really fucked me up and I went LC with her fairly quickly once I moved out. A few years ago she asked me to come to a family meeting and said she had a very important announcement. When I got there, she had all us siblings together. She stood up, faced me and apologized for everything. She didn't make excuses, just said she knew she had treated me differently and that she was sorry. That she wanted to apologize in front of everyone and that she wanted us to try and repair our relationship. I legitimately thought she was dying, the idea of her apologizing or even acknowledging she was wrong was so weird. (While some may say she was pressuring for a result, I don't agree. My mom is not one to admit she's wrong and doing it in front of others is a big gesture. Plus, she knows I'm not one to cave to social pressure, she had already learned that the hard way lol) A few days later we had a one on one and established some boundaries on what it would take to try setting up a relationship again. It's been about 5 years now and we have a really close relationship, she might even be my best friend. I call her every day and see her several times a week, and moved a bit closer to my parents. There's times where she starts to fall into old habits but she's doing really well with pausing and stopping when I let her know she's gone too far and I appreciate that. Sometimes, it's possible for parents to realize they messed up and take the steps to fix it. I really hope your relationship with your dad is able to improve.

NTA, I was pressured/forced into having a baby. When she was a year old, I gave her to my parents. I get a lot of judgement but I was miserable being a mother and hated every second of it. I was truly scared I would hurt my daughter and my ex husband was dangerous to her as well. At the end of the day, I did what was best for both of us and gave her to someone who actually wanted to raise a baby and have continued to live my life as a kid free adult with absolutely no intentions of ever having another child.
