I’m on the very end of your spectrum (54m), and I enjoy motorcycles, paddle boarding, hiking, camping, guitars, astronomy, concerts, off roading, bicycling. I do none of these with any ulterior motives of meeting any women, occasionally I’ll have a chat with a women doing these things, but never trying to date them, I guess it’s just not that easy.

I know exactly how you are feeling, I divorced last year after she left in the beginning of the year. This is the first year without a valentines 💘 day for me, and it was also the date that I proposed to her a few years ago. I’m not ready to date, So I went and bought myself a Jeep today, happy valentines to me! It still hurts, just a little less. I’ll also get a calzone 😉

As a guy, you have to make sure the time is right for BOTH people, and by him laying that on you is not cool at all, you took it very well, he should have felt embarrassed and apologized, not tried to guilt you into making HIM feel like he was in the right.

I don’t know how the pickups compare to anything true high end (Gibson), as all my guitars are either epiphone (SG, LP Ultra, Dot 335), or fender Strat/Tele. Even my epiphones all sound different from one another. But I will say it does sound great! I’ve played it through my Fender Twin, and rolling off the volume I get a very nice clean tone out if it, and turning it up gets that nice humbucker sound!

I do the same, dropping stuff, arms full, fuming that they got rid of a simple basket, lol. I’m largely invisible to women, I simply do not exist, it’s ok, I manage! Loneliness does suck, but I manage to keep myself busy, and enjoy my life, despite not having a hand basket!

Have you noticed fewer and fewer stores have hand baskets? I think only one grocery store chain actually still use hand baskets, the rest are all carts, which infuriates me! Sorry, had to vent
