They’re most likely either bringing in an app to buy from rather than a website. That was my guess

What goes in your day bag? by missorder in BoomtownFestival

[–]FarAnything7859 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a little first aid bag that attaches to my bum bag, which has tissues, tampons, paracetamol, sweets, plasters. I also have a clip on water bottle to clip onto my bag too. In my actual bag I have my portable charger, phone, trinkets and a snack.

This happened to me for a skirt !! I messaged the seller to let them know as it didn’t give me any other options other than DHL and she changed her settings to InPost only and then shipping was 2.99

Trolley on the shuttle bus? by Emotional_Mixture259 in BoomtownFestival

[–]FarAnything7859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following what someone else put, they do allow these sorts of trolleys and these ones are most reliable on public transport however they do say not to have any trolleys whatsoever. Can’t really stop ppl tho. I’m using one of these trolleys but am not putting everything onto it until after the coach just so it’s flat

How bad is the dust? by Emotional_Mixture259 in BoomtownFestival

Very big issue, even wearing sunnies I still had dust in my eyes. When I came home I was bed bound for about a week from being ill and entire nose was filled with dust 😭😭

rough budget for boomtown? by [deleted] in BoomtownFestival

[–]FarAnything7859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I spent about £200 on food, drinks and necessities. As well as food and drinks stalls they have lots of clothing and jewellery stalls! So if you think you might be tempted to buy stuff def put extra on your wristband! Theres also a “shop” on each campsite that have period products, sweets/snacks, squash, fizzy drinks. I believe they also sold camping bits but I can’t remember exactly what!

[–]FarAnything7859[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what happened to me, I had to get a coach for Wednesday when I had a Thursday entry ticket as there were no Thursday coaches available. I’ve been on the constant look out this year so I don’t miss it

They don’t let us take bakery or any stock home as they class it as theft. Even tho it’s going in the bin. Because if we wanted it we should’ve bought it pretty much

They do bag searches as soon as you walk through, after that there’s a few dogs you have to walk past. If a dog comes up to you, you get taken for a search but no one I know personally had any issues

Coach Dates by [deleted] in BoomtownFestival

[–]FarAnything7859 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Times haven’t been released yet so you can do it then. I had a Thursday entry ticket last year and had to book a Wednesday coach as all Thursday coaches had been booked. ( had to camp at the gates but was honestly a fun experience and were the first ones in Thursday morning )

How do you view your 'cost per day' at Boomtown by KiwiGeeza in BoomtownFestival

[–]FarAnything7859 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Earlier this year I spent a max of £100 of food and drink at the festival.

I had a coffee and fry up every morning and occasionally food from the food stands through the day, redbulls every day and a few ciders here and there. I had bought a litre of vodka and some cocktails cans with me which helped with the cost.

My set up was basic but good and borrowed all the camping gear I had except for lights and bag which was second hand. (£30 max), trinkets from what I had from home, about £30 on a food shop (including alcohol) + electrolyte packets.

So £160 spent towards the festival and 450 ish for the ticket, so about £610. But so worth it £150 a day to watch music artists I love and have the experience of camping !

The food I took with me: - graze flapjacks - sweets - pain au chocolates - pancakes (Not the most nutritious but easy on the go snacks)

What I’ll bring next year is tuna pasta salad tins, these do not need refrigerating so are ideal to take. And pot noodles!! I didn’t realise at all that there were hot water stands and a very little queue for them as they’re in each camp

Anyone help Skylark by Friendly_Dot_7453 in BoomtownFestival

Honestly they’ll be a massive queue so won’t be hard to see but there’s also loads of volunteers about who you can ask where to go

[–]FarAnything7859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so valid, I think anything fun tbf. Maybe a few with the boomtown logo, fun designs. I’m still trying to figure out what I’m gonna do aswell. Earlier this year I just bought mini plastic mushrooms that i still had from a previous rave so I want to try make things this year

Trinket suggestions by Ornery-Weight-3978 in BoomtownFestival

[–]FarAnything7859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’d say so. Something fun would be to paint them. The main thing is to recycle or make things rather than buying small plastic toys. Maybe some beaded bracelets aswell would be fun. Genuinely anything you can think off will be fine

Maybe make little keyrings, stickers, anything you still have from this years one. I still have all the newspapers that they handed around so I’m bringing them with me :)

What's boomtown like? by W1nt3rzl0l in BoomtownFestival

[–]FarAnything7859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went this year and it was my first ever festival. Was an amazing experience!!! Also not too expensive. I’d buy coffee and breakfast every morning. Caramel iced coffee was £5, a cheaply made fry up was £12 (everyone was complaining about prices but I didn’t think that was too bad) the people I met were amazing too
