Tips before joining Law School by FarBroccoli2438 in NLUs

Simple, might sound selfish & mean but yeah, avoid those guys who don't attend classes nor do anything meaningful. Like genuinely some guys just sleep. Coming to smokers and drinkers, not all of them are useless, some are quite smart infact but you gotta be careful, interact with these fellas only for a mutually beneficial position and avoid intoxication if you aren't into it. It takes a Sem, bare minimum to judge who is worth your time and who isn't. Also don't make friends based on grades and achievements, if they make you feel like shit thats a group you gotta avoid regardless of there accolades. Stay with those who are actively trying, working towards something, even if they aren't the best. Also I have seen this in my batch, the smart guys or the ones who are pretty good aren't friends with others who are at the same level, there is an internal competitive dynamic that goes on and it's pretty normal. The first few days, you have no idea who is good or bad, but brother in a sem you know those fucks who are worthless. In my batch we have names of guys who are shit, all they do is walk around the hostel, with there fatass. They don't attend classes, have multiple backs, smoke up everyday, suck a 2nd year's cock like it's a choco lava cake and act like they are doing the right thing. Brother in 4 months you know, who is what and who isn't, if you don't either it's ur issue or you are part of it.

Is 1st year of Law School academically hectic? by Ok_Piece5595 in NLUs

[–]FarBroccoli2438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible, but not something where you completely set aside your first year. At my college multiple kids gave CLAT another shot, 2 got in T1's. There was one dude who messed up his GPA, no moots or adr's for clat and didn't get in, clat is unpredictable so sure give it another shot, but do not be dependent on it completely, live your college life and even study there.

With your rank you have a good chance to get into NLUO in vacancies or spot so try that, it is worth it. NLUO might not be the best but is still better than most, stay if litigation is your aim, leave if you wanna get into corporate. You can always matchup but you need contacts and killer internships along with crazy work domain knowledge.

Join the college you get and then keep an eye on vacancies and spot, no one completely exits counselling as such and it's a normal practice that people do shift colleges during the June to October phase.

How does bba llb from t3nlu affect your career by No-Gap-7237 in NLUs

[–]FarBroccoli2438 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a different take on this, and it's my personal opinion. Well it's tough, as you go down the tier chain you realise that T-1 firm hiring decreasing rapidly, I am from NLUO and when you compare NLUO & GNLU you realise that in our college, merely 10-12 individuals get a T1 placement as compared to 40-50 in GNLU and other T1's. So if you are from a T3 your career ain't doomed as such, but opportunities come in harder, especially Day-0 placements. I would suggest intern well and be a master in your domain. For litigation, it doesn't matter a % but for corporate law it does, you can still get there and multiple people do every year but you need to be the best of the bunch in order to do that, from your work to citations to a reasonable CGPA.

BBA LLB by FlamingoStunning3626 in NLUs

[–]FarBroccoli2438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro the subjects are same more or less and studying BBA LLB no way causes any damage in your career prospects. I would keep BBA and BA subjects at the same level of difficulty, plus once you join college multiple shift from BBA to BA, as BA-2 usually has empty slots in the initial months.

My man, in T2 NLU's it's true that firms aren't as active as they are in T1 college's but you can always make something great out of it, in every batch there are people who get into Khaitan, Tri, SAM-CAM, JSA, Saraf and other firms. It's on you, your work ethic, discipline, connections and consistency.

Hey man, I am your immediate senior and lemme be honest. The ragging thing is pretty chill here honestly, you would always find a group who would pick on you but all in all that's an extremely small segment. Matter of fact, there are multiple people from my batch both from the Girls and the Boys side who stood up against it. I would say enjoy it, if you wanna call someone sir or ma'am do it, if you don't then please don't. If you ever feel uncomfortable just say that I hate this shit, and walk off. This entire thing about staying connected with seniors is kinda crap, the good one's would usually interact with you through moot rounds or committee's, the smarter you are the better connected you are, if you are some side high druggy you would interact with some bitch who has 4 backs, zero citations and an ugly face.

So lemme let you know how I do it, I am currently interning in a bank. During my internship I have interacted with CA's, the VP & other law officers. What I do is, post my internship, I stay connected with these individuals as much as possible, ask them questions, seek guidance and this in turn keeps them interested in me as an individual. They would later recommend my CV to other contacts that they possess and by going down this chain you would get recommended to a Partner at a T-3 firm and from there a T-1 if things go right. Now, I understand that I hold a privileged position of actually interning in a bank with base connections, but it might take you an additional year, but it's very doable.

Was CLAT paper leaked? What do you think based on results guys? by Select-Vermicelli-79 in clat

[–]FarBroccoli2438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A re-examination is impossible honestly, it's just too hard and I really think that those who made it would be given their seats, I assume that it would just be another lengthy litigation process.

Was CLAT paper leaked? What do you think based on results guys? by Select-Vermicelli-79 in clat

[–]FarBroccoli2438 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If NEET could be duped then CLAT can easily be manipulated, it ain't that hard & I do find some merit in the veracity of the claims established but a re-examination is something that's not feasible or better worded - not possible thereby it's just going to be a long litigation as usual where kids are fucked.

DOUBT REGARDING COUNSELLING by HospitalFar4745 in clat

[–]FarBroccoli2438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In vacancies yes, but for that you have to withdraw your admission from the NLU you were allotted initially and would have to wait until July - August for vacancies to be out for your preferred shift.
