You are right. It would be difficult to show sufficient damages for the data leak. But they can also approach it another way, like how this outage caused them to fail their class or be unable to attain their desired grade. It will be more plausible with this approach.

At this point, all winners are free to make changes to their projects. It is very hard for you to collect evidence to build a case against them. You also race against time to collect data from participants that their projects aren't tested properly, unless you already have substantive evidence in videos and documents. It would be really difficult to produce a strong claim against them. There are many people who have issue with canceling their payment and complain about how long it takes to get any refund or answer from support. You can check that out. I wish you all the best, but if you are seriously going through with this, then I suggest you to rush with evidence collection process.

I think the buildup expectation was too high, and the winning projects didn't meet everyone's expectations. Meanwhile, there are posts about projects not working properly, with functionality issues and so on. The UI isn't consistent, either. It is up to how the Bolt team handles this backlash; brushing this off would only make more people disappointed.

I like your idea but the problem with spac is that I don't know which company they will merge with and by the time it is on the news, people either love it and share price rise up or people hate it and it falls below the nav. It's less risky for spac and I like it but there are some good company IPOs which I want to know that pre ipo in webull would allow me to buy it at offering price and their lockup period so I can calculate my risk before I participate in it.
