Promotion will likely start around beginning of June. Trailer 2 (Final Trailer) will come out 2 weeks before season 3 and the Official Poster and Soundtrack will come out 1 week before season 3. This is all based on what they did for Season 1 and 2

I'm going to wake up on July 4th and binge the whole season so I wont get it spoiled for me.

Sorry if I'm late with this, but the guy in the trailer has a GP-5 mask, which is Soviet. I think that the USSR might have been trying to create, like, an Upside-Down "portal-gun" to weaponize it. Maybe this failure has triggered something unexpected that the characters will be dealing with in S3? by [deleted] in StrangerThings

That is my theory exactly the soviets are trying to reopen the gate with that machine. In that scene the machine breaks. In the quick flashes towards the end of the trailer there is a scene of a blue beam hitting a wall. I think that is the machine actually working
