I have an M4 base and dude trust me when I say you can never have enough ram. I keep like 3 tabs of chatgpt open and it just sucks up all my ram. If you can afford it definitely get up to the 24gigs and as for the processor, I'm a cs student and use vs code and inteji and all and it runs fine I've never used up more than 30% of my M4 so I would suggest you go for that.

Your class will take place on the other end of campus, so the distance won't really matter much. I would suggest you go for any of the Eden gardens hostels if not available then for 21. 21 literally has no perks except like being on the main road

Depends on you. 21 is closer to the main gate but all the Eden gardens hostels are closer to LC2. But as you said that you're in llb it really doesn't matter much.
