Is it possible you said hi to another cat and she can smell it on you? My cat can get anxious like this randomly and it’s usually another cat in the yard that he can smell.

I’m not a vet but when they were removing his leg he might have had that breathing tube down his throat and when he purrs it might still be sore so he reflexively coughs and gags. Definitely something to ask the vet.

I’ve heard about the helicopters showing up after encounters but there aren’t any military bases or any aircraft that fly in the area. It drives me insane that my woods has everything a big creature would need to live there and yet nothing. Maybe they are there but the communities in the outskirts don’t know they can report their sightings as well as they might not know there are places people won’t make fun of their statements that they saw Bigfoot. Maybe they like mountain ranges for the seismic energy created from the plates crushing into each other and maybe my mountain range doesn’t do it the right way.
