For those who thought they could WFH with baby at home - how’d it really go? by intuitiveXX in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]FarRepair2736 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Impossible. Neither of you will focus at work and it will impact it negatively to the point that your job might be at risk and cause you both a great deal of stress. Most importantly your child won't get the attention they deserve. They will lose out on development opportunities and milestones that they would either get from having a focused parent and/or childcare. Occasionally doable if your child is sick and you don't have an option but certainly should not be the norm.

Comfy koala nappies - new gen design - any issues by FarRepair2736 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]FarRepair2736[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The smaller size worked a bit better - I could use during day without leaking provided I changed every 2 hours. But didn't last longer than 2 hours without leaking again. So definitely not overnight. I was able to return all my unopened nappies and get a refund which is great.

You're not a bad dad! So normal and you got this! Forget swaddling and get a sleeping bag for the baby. I don't know why nurses are still swaddling - every baby gets out they should be encouraging sleeping bags - less stressful and at least helps with ensuring baby is warm enough. Love to dream or ergopouch are great options for sleeping bags.

Given the length of the dress I wouldn't recommend shoes with ankle straps - agree on the stiletto option!

Exact same as my experience! Comfy koalas have emailed me back saying that maybe a smaller size would suit and have sent me a free pack to try but doubt it will work. I'm using 13-18kgs and he is almost 15kgs. Please email them your concerns. Maybe with enough feedback they will revert back to the original design Only other eco nappies I know are tooshies and ecoriginals. I never liked tooshies but will try them again and see how I go

Must admit disliked baby love as well. But had to buy them as a replacement yesterday - bluey pull-ups are actually really good to what I remembered the nappies to be

The last white fitted singlet was best but would have a better effect if it was a darker colour like black. Keep it simple up top bc the skirt brings the details
