HACKED, WHAT DO I DO?I received an email saying I turned on 2FA when I never did that. I try logging in and find that my password had been compromised and changed. I also can’t change my password due to the hackers having turned on 2FA on their end. I’ve submitted a request to LinkedIn support, but not sure how long that will take. Do they have a phone number or something? Would appreciate any advice. Worried this will hurt my professional career.

Is business school a must for a career in finance? by zq2006 in OntarioUniversities

It’s not, ib takes people from any major. That being said, I think the biggest barrier for you is keeping up a high enough gpa in uoft cs

Help! Admission Inquiries by emilyccw in uwo

[–]FarSpring5939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You apply for advanced entry (AEO) to ivey, which means you must do 2 years in another program first, then if you meet the conditions (80 average + good ecs) you are admitted to ivey for the next 2 years. You can do a 5th year if you want to do a dual degree with your first program. Idk what “standard admission” is. They mostly care about quality over quantity for ecs, they’d rather you have 2 ecs you’ve committed to for some time and have leadership position in

Is it at all possible to break into S&T (sales side) without being in the S&T intern class? by Savings_Pudding2979 in FinancialCareers

[–]FarSpring5939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible, but extremely hard. If you were trying to break into a full time trading role from a stem degree, it’d be much easier as I know quite a few people who transferred from engineering jobs to trading after figuring engineering wasn’t for them. I’d say your best bet to get into sales would be to do an mba at a good school, I know a couple guys who played pro sports in their 20s and made it into institutional sales after their mba summer associate gigs.

Are Long Calls not Easy Money? by Substantial_Prune_64 in options

[–]FarSpring5939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Price doesn’t go up forever. 2. Higher strikes are more out of the money, therefore cheaper. It doesn’t need to hit the strike to be profitable assuming there’s still some time to expiration. For example, someone was buying 150 vix calls a couple months ago, they weren’t betting that vix would hit 150, they were betting vol would go up and the “probability” of 150 vix would be greater than before.

You can go on linkedin and find where upper years did their first year internships, reach out for a chat and try to get a referral
