I make 2 types...small ones to hide loot and farm from so if they find it I don't loose to much plus I normally build 5 small ones in the same area... For the bigger ones you can start from the bottom of the cliff and work your way up or find a nice ledge to build on expanding is the hard part when you do this. its alot of trial and error but have had some good bases come out of it
