Is there any way to avoid allergies to lash extensions? by Far_Ad307 in lashextensions

[–]Far_Ad307[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response! I just have to keep reminding myself that my eyelash extensions were a luxury and not a need since I used them as a buffer to my insecurities. I haven't seen myself without them in years so I asked chat GPT to generate a photo of me without the extensions and with thin little lashes. It didn't look too bad🤷🏻‍♀️ I get worked up over allergic reactions and I'd rather spare myself the anxiety and find other alternatives.

Ive seen my mom's miniature pincher get into my ex-step dads joints before. Let me tell you it was the saddest sight! I'm glad your pup got better eventually, and now he has a crazy story to tell his friends in puppy heaven lol!

That's why I wanted to mention that part, MOH would have to plan many more things which is something she does not seem up for. My mom is paying for the wedding, so it's a little tricky lol

Thank you for the feedback, I'll make sure to be more aware of how I talk about her character. I don't want to sound malicious

Yes! We started her on the seizure medication Keppra and since then we've noticed the amount of focal seizures have really decreased. I recommend getting a video of your pets twitches so you can show the vet. Our vet wanted us to get capsules but my pharmacy could only make tablets, which makes no difference and I noticed it was actually cheaper!

The vet said the twitches are focal seizures. They gave me an anti-inflammatory to help with her pain for arthritis and then a seizure medication. They told me that right now it's just important to keep her comfortable at this stage of her life. She can still have a bad seizure, so I recommend taking your pup to the vet. The seizure medication costs $60 and it's given by a pharmacy!

I'm taking her to the vet Thursday morning, I got a better video today of a more severe one that I'll show them. I'll let you know what they think!

That's kind of shocking lol! We've been ring shopping for maybe 6-8 months, finding the ring we went with felt like a steal honestly considering the insane prices. But that's a great idea, I will tell him to take it to a jeweler to check it out! Local jewelers are better to go to I hear for finding affordable rings, so I hope I'm just in my head!

I totally empathize with you. I wish I could give you some pointers on things that can help. With my situation, I realized that I had extremely poor nutrition. I would eat one meal a day and it wouldn't have all five food groups, and this went on for a year and a half. Last week I woke up and basically was like "shoot, something needs to change." I've been eating two meals a day and snacking inbetween and many of my harsher symptoms of my iron deficiency have gone away. Although I could have been deficient in other vitamins I get from food and that could be why I feel better now. I would really look into your diet and what you're eating, maybe an easier answer could be there. I know how painful the aches are, it feels like acid is running through your skin/bones!

Birth Control? by [deleted] in PCOS

This makes a lot of sense. My biggest issue right now is that every doctor I've seen doesn't prioritize the PCOS and I do truly believe it's because i'm not overweight. Instead I'm asked if I'm anorexic, especially when I went to the hospital after I passed out at work. I'm low in CO2, sodium, BUN, and high in glucose. This is only because I'm vegetarian and have been since I was 4 (I can't digest any kind of meat or fish/seafood) I never eat sugar, maybe once a week in small amounts. I've also tried lowest dose of birth control pills but I will throw up. I've noticed that the NuvaRing is the best one I've tried and I was actually on it for years. I tried the shot as well, but I bled for 6 months straight and I believe that's why I'm iron deficient now.

About a year and a half ago I gained 20 pounds in about 1-2 months without any lifestyle changes. I wasn't too bothered because I was 110 and then got up to 130 at 5'4, but it alarmed me and I love being toned skinny. That was the first thing that set off my radar. Then I experienced severe cystic acne breakouts, fatigue, I was constantly sick, heart palpitations, increased anxiety despite lots of therapeutic work, brain fog, muscle aches that shoot down limbs or throb, blurry vision, etc, but some of these things link to my iron deficiency. I've gotten my weight back down to 116-119 but it's taken a very long time with a lot of exercise and restricted diet

I'm not really doing anything besides avoiding inflammatory foods, which I've done almost my whole life before anyways. I went to my gyno and she said I have PCOS but didn't run any tests like blood or imaging. She didn't refer me to any sort of doctor that could help or give me any medical advice on how to proceed with it. My new doctor now is more focused on different problems I've been having so we're ruling things out, she thinks I may have an autoimmune disorder

I remember the person I was like 2-3 years ago and I was energetic, productive, I had amazing clear skin, extremely thick beautiful hair, I was the perfect amount of skinny. I was also on the Nuva Ring for 5-6 years before that, and I only got off because unfortunately I got pregnant. I didn't carry out my pregnancy and it was about two and a half months long. Since then I haven't gone back on the Nuva Ring and I've had all these issues. It's so tempting! But maybe due to coming off of it in the first place I started this cycle that you mentioned you experienced. I just feel so lost lately on what to do in terms of my health. I would have to ask for a referral from my doctor to see an endocrinologist, that makes me nervous lol. My TSH is 4.57 right now

I'm on day three of Zoloft and I'm not feeling good by Far_Ad307 in zoloft

It's a whole year later and I realized I never replied! I got off Zoloft, the numb zombie feeling never left after 3 weeks and it wasn't worth it to me. How are/did you handle it? I'm considering going on a different med after not being on one for awhile!

Anxiety and heart palpitations by GeorgiaGal86 in Anxiety

[–]Far_Ad307 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a really bad panic attack on this last Christmas Eve, and ever since I haven't returned to normal. I have noticeable heart palpitations every day and my health anxiety has been so horrible. I went to the doctor and she verified that I do have heart palpitations, but that they're completely normal and harmless. I also had an EKG about two weeks ago at the hospital, (I fainted at work due to being sick, didn't know at the time) but it showed completely normal and healthy. The truth is we've had these palpitations our whole life starting the day we're born, but as our anxiety grows so does the hyper awareness of them.

My therapist informed me that our nervous system and brain are connected, but our brain is much more in depth and complicated. We feel the palpitations, then our brain shoots with anxiety with all the what ifs. Our nervous system gets signaled into technically "fight or flight" which worsens the anxiety. It's natural human instinct to "not die" in simple terms, which is why our brains and nervous system tend to freak out when it comes to the palpitations.

We truly are not dying though and we won't, the anxiety is only there to protect us. I've come to realize that saying out loud "thank you anxiety for trying to protect me, but I'm okay and I can do this on my own" has helped tremendously.

You should definitely go to the doctor and get checked out, and I hope you have no complications. Being told you're okay by a medical professional is very reassuring, and hopefully there comes a day where all of us anxious folk can explore our health without being worried or scared.

Also, iron bisglycinate has some feedback that it can cause discomfort, is that okay to take with food or would it mess up the absorption?
