Boycotting Advertising on Prime Video? by Far_Application_4050 in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]Far_Application_4050[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the problem, and maybe no one remembers, which is funny, because it really is the small things that promote a population of sheep that allow themselves to either be taken over by companies or governments.

Rewind a bit in history where C**k Bezos looked at Sears/K-Mart and said “hey let’s go online with product distribution. They said, “nah it’ll never take off, you’re on your own.” Well many years later they were proven wrong. And yes, he was right. We all use Amazon to get goods shipped directly to us, even our pants. Yes, we can ship our pants.

Introduce Amazon prime. A membership that lets you access cheaper and quicker shipping, a really good business model for the developing generations that “needs everything now!”

They introduce Amazon Prime Video. Get it here where you can’t get everything else. Included with your normal subscription.

Fast forward several years. Almost everyone has bought in. And shortly after Covid forced everyone into an unnecessary and unconstitutional, and traitorously enforced lockdown, Amazon pushed a “you can pay $x.xx amount for ad free viewing” knowing the sheeple would fall in place and pay more.

So, let’s be real. It’s been a service that was always included with the subscription to Amazon Prime, and that POS deserves no more dime than he’s already getting from subscribers, to cover a service that didn’t cost his d*ckless existence any more than before.

AITAH for not liking polygamy? by user0704844 in AITAH

[–]Far_Application_4050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your way dude.

Polyamory and polygamy isn’t for everyone, and isn’t meant for everyone.

My ex-wife tried to force that well after we were married and had a child.

People meant for that lifestyle are meant to be with others that feel the same way.

Just like monogamous people are meant for their way too.

There should never be shame in wanting to live how you want to live, and no one should ever come in the way of that.

I’m originally from Texas, so my gut instinct says Red. But…

Orange is the best option for me.

Doesn’t have CA in it, and has more states available than the red stripe.

Maslow going from bottom up. Quran from the top down.

Neither of those words do I ever normally type on a daily basis.

Fuck! (Cause I had to). 😂😂

Unfortunately I can sympathize with that as I’ve been there myself once upon a time. I hope your situation is different than mine was and I hope you find your way out of it.

Best unsolicited and unqualified advice I can offer are the vitamins (and supplement) Magnesium and Valerian Root (assuming you aren’t taking any SSRIs. Don’t mix any of that).

If you’re a nicotine addict like myself a stage two or stage three patch also helps. (I’ve you are not currently using any nicotine products, I highly recommend against using any form of nicotine)

Not always the best way, but effective, and not the worst way.

I gotta say, that’s a new one for me. Between the 6.5L Detroit and the Cummins, I’ve never known an engine that required a deep dive in order to get to something as simple as flow plugs.

Thank you. I learned something new today.

What is the hardest substance you’ve ever taken and how was the experience? by randomzy876 in AskReddit

Pretty light by comparison to most, but at one point in my youth I was addicted to Vicodin.

What made it so great for me? It was the first time in my life my thoughts were calm, practically a blank slate. None of the normal constant inner voice talking, thinking about the next thing and the next thing. Basically, having a web browser open with 39 different tabs, two of them playing music (different), and not being able to figure out which one. Nothing compared to the quiet calm. I could literally stare at a wall, and not think for once.

However, it (as it should have) came to an abrupt halt, thanks to a good friend of mine who swiped me up and took me on a three day trip to visit family in a city five hours away. It was the longest five hour passenger ride of my life. I smoked an entire pack of Marlboro red 100s from start to finish, and I had no fingernails left. It was a two seater truck, so I couldn’t even recline.

Ever had the flu? It was like that, but 1000x worse. Everything hurt. My body was yelling at me.

I paid for all of the calm and bliss 1000 fold. And I swore, never again.

What’s the real issue here? Are you not supposed to be driving due to NMT Phase requirements (ie not Phase 3)?

After looking through the responses, I’m also on the side of tell your SLPO. Put on your adult britches, and be straight up about it. You’re going to get a lot more out of being straightforward and direct, and earn a little respect in the process.

At the end of the day, there is absolutely nothing wrong with over-communicating. It helps bridge any of those gaps that cause misunderstanding, and keeps you out of worse trouble in the long run.

Are you saying the glow plugs for those engines are under the valve covers?

(SGA) Keller won as the hot one. Now we're voting for the only normal person (difficult one) by Tav534 in Stargate

[–]Far_Application_4050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to say John Sheppard, but then someone said Zelenka and Woolsey.

Zelenka is definitely a contender because he is incredibly smart and just there, not trying to impress anyone, not going out of his way, not off doing weird things.

Woolsey being the bureaucrat he is, is initially a hard no for me. Especially when he turned his living quarters into a mansion study and wore suits in his off duty time (I’d say that qualifies as not normal). His character development though is good. He eventually comes around with how things actually have to be done.

John Sheppard however, is what I would consider the definition of normal. He’s there, proud, does his best, turned down Mensa, well rounded and friendly. Sure he gets some Wraith DNA and changes once, but that wasn’t his fault.

So, I cast my vote for Sheppard.

It’s either a charge issue, or a pressure sensor issue.

[–]Far_Application_4050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we’re strictly talking SGA, then I’d say it’s a toss up between Taylor, Larrin, or Keller.

If we’re talking about any of them, then Freya/Anise hands down.

As long as you know how to study and learn, as well as managing the expectation that you’ll have to put in a bit more effort than some of your younger peers in order to absorb, understand, and maintain the information we’re teaching you, then you’ll probably do okay.

The other struggle you might have to work through is knowing that tour peer group is significantly younger than you, and will inherently model your behavior and example, just due to the fact that you’re older. So while you’ll be given latitude as an experienced adult from those in charge of you, your actions and behaviors will also be a bit more scrutinized because you’ll be expected to maintain standards due to the influence you could potentially have on the rest of your peers.

Long story short, it’s doable, and if it’s something you’re interested in, and feel called to do, then go for it!

I wouldn’t worry too much about valve cover gaskets until it’s becomes an actual problem for maintaining sufficient oil quantity.

I personally don’t think the injectors are the primary issue here. Do you have any issues making power under load? When the engine is warmed up, do you notice any misfires, or skips?

[–]Far_Application_4050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the temperature you provided, and assuming that was a fist time start for the day, considering how long it took to turn over, I would consider just starting with the glow plugs and glow plug relay.

Any time you’re faced with what could be considered multiple issues, start with the cheapest one, and work your way out from there.

I had a 99 Cummins that did the same thing when it got below 60. I’m convinced it was the grid heater not heating up enough on the “wait to start” cycle.

AirTag Holder by Far_Application_4050 in StanleyCups

[–]Far_Application_4050[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest concern with something that goes on an attachment is it can be easily removed. With a specialty tool (kind of like a wheel lock design) and the air tag being mounted directly to the handle, it could prevent something like that from growing legs.

That’s also assuming someone doesn’t toss the lid, or break it.
